It's all about the ebb and flow of the season, in the NFL...ATL is far and away the better team... But, Situational angles are highly important and often times profitable.

Obviously.

Some of the angles don't even take the Falcons 6-0 record into consideration. So they too, can be misleading.

I'm not even saying Falcons is THE pick, or A pick. I simply can't understand all of the Cowboys love I am seeing. To me, if all the angles point to the cowboys, that would just make this a no play for me.

If you bet the Cowboys, have fun laying on an inconsistent (worst trait in sports, especially sports wagering) team, on the road in a primetime game to arguably the best team in football.

my favorite play this week is SEA -5. i like it especially that they lost on sunday. the vikings in the past couple years are not a good road team. ponder is ineffective, so basically offense is one-trick pony with AP. vikings defense, while sharp early in the season, is currently bending and showing signs of breaking.

what do u think about the washington Redskins this weekend against the panthers....

Panthers gave it their all....leading most of the game and bears came back and won.....

do u think panthers will come out flat...

With regards to the Falcons/Cowboys game Dallas was in a similar situation after making the comeback vs. the Ravens in week 6 and having to go on the road to Carolina.  There is no arguing that Dallas plays much better on the road than in the circus that is known as Jerrah's World.  

I posted this in another thread on the Falcons....

At first look I initially liked Dallas as a play as well for several of the reasons already listed above.  I have not played them straight up but did include them +10.5 in a teaser play.  

Upon second look check the Falcons results the week before they play the Saints.  

Atlanta's record the week before they play the Saints since Smith took over as head coach...

4-0 the past four meetings, 6-2 since Smith took over as HC. 

Falcons were swept by the Saints last year and in the second match up smoked 45-16.  They have shown to be focused and ready to play the week before they play the Saints.  I agree that Dallas is in a good spot and have things in their favor but considering the Falcons situation that might not be enough to make a standard play on Dallas.  Just another aspect to factor in this match up.

In the 2 games the Falcons lost previous to playing the Saints they went on to lose those match ups with NO.  In the other 6 wins previous to playing the Saints the Falcons have followed those wins up with a 2-4 SU ATS record the next week vs. NO.

Something to look at for week 10 is if Atlanta wins or loses this match up with Dallas.  If they lose straight up to Dallas then history leans with them losing @ NO in week 10.  If the Falcons win and cover vs Dallas then I would look to play on the Falcons when they visit NO, especially since that would be their first meeting since getting swept last year and the embarrassment in week 16.

My guess for POY 2 will be dallas or balty, maybe Tennessee.

To me i think the strongest play of the week is Denver -3. I will be betting 5 units on this play. If this is your pick League Capper i will definitely up the units even more!! Bol this week and i anxiously await the posting of your play.

Bears -3.5

Bears were flat last week as expected, but I don't see them laying an egg two weeks in a row. CJ hopping around at the line won't work against this defense, all these linebackers know is gap discipline. Meanwhile the Titans don't stop the run or the pass particularly well. Bears O-line should have a bounce back game (as they usually do) against a nonexistent Titans pass rush.

Why do you think this line opened so low BB? Denver dominated on primetime now facing a Bengals team that just lost at home and the line opens -3 ? Hmmm...

Read post #36. This game means nothing to the Bears. Not to mention teams tend to struggle big after a late 4th Q come from behind win.

I have conflicting angles for this game but I'd have to lean towards the panthers. That was a devastating emotional loss for the Panthers but it's nullafied (a bit) by them being desperate for a win. Rivera on the hot seat, newton gettin criticized, team being 1-5 etc etc.

Also if you saw my play of the year last week fading the Jets, home teams of 0 to -6 going into a bye are 0-9 ATS this year and 15-44 ATS prior to this year.

Seattle is, in my opinion, the best game on the board this week.  Line opened at -3.5 and quickly moved to -5 with a split consensus.  Seattle has a nasty defense, especially at home, and I love to fade the queens...especailly right now while people actually believe this team is good.  Yes they will get a few more wins this season, they may even beat an overrated Detroit squad next week at HOME, but they will not win a road game the rest of the season...with the possible exception of St. Louis...we are talking about a Minnesota team that lost on the road to Indy and Washington.  They were in a good situational spot vs. the 49'ers and Ponder happened to have an exceptional game...which could happen again, but I don't see it on the road, at Seattle, in the toughest environment to play in the NFL.  Seattle -5

No one has faith in Denver on the road. They have just 1 win this year against the Chargers when they trailed 24 at half.We all know what happened in the second half as peyton worked his magic.So lets look at this past sunday nites game. Denver coming off a bye and they played a complete game. Peyton is now clicking with his receivers and in my opinion this is the best offense in the nfl. The defense speaks for its self only allowing 7 points to a high powered saints attack. Not counting the last meaningless touch down at the end of the game. Actually this line has moved up to -3.5. I still love this game and feel Denver is the real deal. I think cincy gets blown out this weekend at home. Guess we will see......

Eh, I think they give a good effort this week after an embarrassing performance against Carolina. And it's not as if they put much effort into their "comeback". A receiver slipped on a route and Jennings had a walk-in pick six that essentially won them the game. I'm a Bears fan and I've been fairly good at capping them (30-19 since 09), but maybe you're right.

Two dogs which jumped right off the page for me this week are
Pit and Dal. I'll guess those two.
Other Dogs I find mildly enticing (but not enough for my $$, yet) are:
Min, Indy, Cin, Car, Jack, Ten, TB
Looking at the card, I think the Dog Bettors are going to have a pretty good week
