surprised it took this long.  haven't heard a soul on TV who likes the Niners.

The line is dropping, other than the obv. money on the giants, but the line was wrong in the Ist place. This line should have been NYG fav. 1-2.5. Now sure lots of 49er money would have knocked back to SF fav. early, but this line will be at kickoff NYG -1 to -2.5 so for the books it would have been a perfect split, compared to what they are going to get and is starting at this very moment, a flury of  NYG money that will bury the books.

This is a classic case of the average Joe adopting the following rationale..."If the Giants stopped Rodgers in Green
Bay they will stop Smith at Candlestick".

The 49ers will be able to pressure Manning and force turnovers. the Gaints are only here because Green Bay has got the worst defense.....THAT'S IT.

I don't like the Giants chances of being able to adjust and beat a team that can play defense on the road in the NFC Championship game.

When I listen to so much Niner rationale, it's:
-Giants are on the road.  The road will kill 'em.
-The field will kill 'em.
-They have a good defense so the 9ers will automatically win.

None of this sh!t is true.  If the Giants are better, the field and the stadium and the crowd simply won't do it.

The line's dropping because the Giants are the play.

Yeh, very similar line movement on these two games. It worries me a bit on my SF -2.5, but i will stay put since i like Niners with the better defense and at home where they only lost once in this season. Goo luck!

NFL commentators will always handle NYC teams with 'kid gloves,' as there is a strong business need to remain in good standing with $NYC$ if you want to have a flourishing career in the sports media industry.

I'm looking forward to seeing this game in action. The weather will likely turn this into a game where the winner is the team that finds themselves on the fortunate side of wild and unexpected ball handling.

So, although Eli Manning is a seasoned and steadfast quarterback in the NFL, it will most likely not make a difference in this game since it is being played in such problematic weather conditions. Therefore, the NY Giant wide receiver strength is most likely to be sacrificed in this game as well.

Due to the difficult weather conditions the game will most likely become a war at the running game. This means the impact players of the game will likely be the tailbacks and/or running backs. Thus, SF 49er running back Frank Gore will have to outperform the running back duo of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. That is entirely possible since the SF 49er defense is #1 against the rush. For that reason, combined with playing in their home stadium, the edge goes to the SF 49ers. Fewer games are decided less than 3 points, so taking the SF 49ers and laying 2.5 should be the smart (and winning) pick.

Publicly taking any SFO team in the media (unless you are a former SFO player/staff) over the mighty NYC would damage one's career potential.

Europa, I have to admit. When the line opened at three I took the Gmen right away.
I am thinking about buying out of it because of the weather. The weather has me freaked out. If these two teams have to run, huge edge to the Niners. Their run defense is sick.
Manning has been playing at a high high level but 20 MPH winds will make stretching the field difficult. That Niner front 7 may go crazy. Niners never throw deep anyway, so I am unsure how it fazes them.
Niners also so solid in the kicking game.
I am going to look at this as a buying opportunity and take the Niners and buy out of my pick if I can get ML near even.

Muddy and soggy field may favor passing offense over defense, which will help Giants. However, if it's windy it should dampen the passing game of Eli and Giants and favor running game and Niners might do better.

Kick-off/punt returner and WR Ted Ginn might not play tomorrow, Kyle Williams will fit in if Ginn can't go.
