Congrats on the win.
 
I was impressed with Young tonight. I thought that he played extremely well. For 3 quarters. He has no weapons. You can't be the "saviour" without weapons. His WRs dropped 2 TDS. His RB is an atrocity. LenDale White needs to get in shape. And hold onto the football. Bo Scaife is below average. Young pressed in the 4th quarter. It came back to bite him. Do you blame him? Moulds. Roydell Williams, Jones, Bo Scaife, LenDale White. Where is the offense? Where are the playmakers? Young is not the problem. He may not be the solution either. It is too early to tell.

You guys in this thread are smoking crack if you ever think Vince Young is going to be a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Brett Favre.
 
 
The guy is never going to be a great passer.    I Guaran Fuckin Tee it.   
 
 
And the great quarterbacks are passers not runners.     I wouldn't even trade Aaron Rodgers for Vince Young.  
 
 
I seriously don't see him getting much better than what he is right now.    And he's a 62 rated quarterback right now.

While Vince team has a 7-4 record and will probably get a wild card birth.   If you know anything about football, then you know QB stats and ratings can be over-inflated and misleading.   All that matters if your team wins (hence the 6 turnover game Romo had vs Bills, and won)   Vince Young needs lots of work, and a litle help from his WR's and pork boy Lendoughnut White.     And that stellar Titans defense sure did step up tonight, did'nt they.

that was my point.  vince young doesn't "just win games", his defense wins games and sometimes his running game and caoching win games.  there have been sevceral examples when vince young has sucked and the titans win the game because th defense or running game make up for his screwups, but last night, when the defense and running game aren't getting it done, vince young isn't good enough and can't make the right decisions to make up the difference.  i'd agree with all of this vince young wins games bullshit if we saw vince young win the game when the other areas of the team aren't pulling their weight rather than the titans often winning when vionce young isn't pulling his weight and the rest of the team has to compensate for him.

just take a look at all the 4th quarter comeback wins that he made happen all on his own already in less than a year of play total.
 
 
take a look at how he single handidly beat USC in the ncaa championship match.
 
 
This guy is a winner plain and simple,just like brady is.
 
 
Before this year Brady never had the eye pooping #'s as a quarterback but all he did was win.
 
 
These people are champions...winners of the ultimate caliber.
 
While Young will never be close to a Brady.
 
 
He is a winner and will continue to get the job done and silence the critics.

what denver did is what the rest of the league will start to do...make VY beat you...he cant...not without the defense and running game on

You guys obviously misunderstood my post.
 
 
Abilty wise he is nowhere close to Brady but he has the same winner like /champion quality about him.He is Clutch!
 
Now like I said forget about Brady from this year.If you will recall properly Brady never had eye popping stats as a quarterback untill this year but he won and thats what counts.There is a reason even before this year that most nfl experts would choose Brady over Manning.Is it because hes more athlethic?no Because he has better stats?no because he can throw better ?no  because he has more abilty?no
 
because he is a winner and is as clutch as they come as joe montana was! this is what you are missing and need to understand!
 
If Manning was half the champion Brady was he would have at least 4 superbowl rings right now.and look at the talent manning has had for the past 4-5 years and only has 1 ring.

brian - he isnt clutch. he is not able to win games on his own in the NFL...running for 60 yards against Ok State or 15 v USC is nothing compared to life in the NFL

-peyton never had a complete defense until last year (sanders)

there are only a few upper echelon QBs currently playing...vince young is nowhere close to that level right now...maybe in a few years but not now...not even close

brain, again, you are comparing vince young to brady which is just not a smart thing to do.  you are also comparing vince young the college qb to vince young the pro qb which is a flawed comparison.  you are also making the simpleminded observation that the titans are winning so the credit must go to the QB (and you are trying to make some sort of comparison to brady to support your observation).  i could say specials teams guy #6 is a winner because he's also on the titans. 
 
there are many examples of games the titans have won where the defense and/or the running game bailed out vince young who played poorly, made bad decisions and otherwise held his team back.  there are very few games, maybe none this season, the titans have won where the defense gave up a lot of points and young carried the team and won the game.  the only game this season where the defense gave up a lot of points and the titans still won was when collins was the QB (against Houston).
 
to say young just wins these games the titans are winning is a simpleminded argument.  for every time i ehar someone say that, i'm going to say levar woods the special teams player or the guy who cleans the jock straps for the titans just wins the games.

The point is dont put Brady and Vyoung into same category EVER!!! I hate Pats but Brady is unreal, nothing rattles this guy, he sits in pocket and fires strikes and his players catch the ball!
