I've been a huge Tebow hater for years, hated him at Florida.  He knows how to win games though.  With the rules in football any well designed offense can work since most rules favor the offense.  Their defense deserves most of the credit for the wins though imo.  When they run into a good offense like the pats in week 15, they will get smoked if Tebow has 60 yards passing and 60 rushing.  They won't be able to win ugly in a 13-10 game.

1 - Yes it would be hilarious to see Orton run the option.

2 - I know you probably didn't read the whole thread, but in the small sample size we have, its proven the defense plays better because of all the things Tebow brings to the table. The defense is definitely playing solid though.

3 - Very few teams have the ability to beat the Pats or Packers, so to single out Tebow and to say he has no chance to win is extremly unfair

OK Sparky you have successfully struck a goldmine on the NFLs most polarizing new up and coming QB's, the one and only Tim Tebow. Let me first preface this post stating I am from Denver originally and cried during 4 SB losses and went to the bank with W's vs GB and Atlanta There is no comparison to winning your first NFL title to MLB championship

Having said that, I was shocked donkeys with stupid Josh at helm moved up to take Tebow Not a good move, thought he would be a 1st round bust. Family members in Denver all thought TEBOW sucked and did not think highly of him. I gave him benefit of doubt since they were so negative, told them "give him a chance, at least he is a christian and believes in God, .....etc,,) Didn't know he sucked soooooo bad throwing a football but I surely do NOW

I understand how you doubt his ability to bring his team back if they get down big and you are RIGHT about that but.............

Tebow is having success because of the COACH, his staff and his system. FOX's coaching style of playing great defense, run the ball, don't make mistakes, and PUNT plays right into Tebow's greatest assset, a PROVEN WINNER who CAN lead his team to VICTORIES. The dude is a WINNER and he has the skins to prove it

You wouldn't be getting half the flak if you named this thread ROMO still sucks!!!!!! Cuz Romo has no CRED compared to TEBOW and that is precisely why TEBOW is succeeding and Tony Romo still sucks, The players know it and they try alot harder when they respect who is leading the troops into battleLike the guy posted earlier it really doesn't matter about the passing stats, it's about the W's and the Broncos BELIEVE in Tebow and will continue to WIN with him at the helm. He will grow into a much better passer hopefully and will take his team to the playoffs for years to come, all with God helping him along in his journey through life.

Face it SPARKY you need to BELIEVE in TT, he has "got It" and the Broncos and their fans are very, very fortunate to have a coach and style that fit really well together

Another reason that the defense is playing better under Tebow is because with Tebow at the helm, Denver is having longer sustained drives and is coming away leading in Time of Possession once the game is over.

This is giving Denver's defense more time to rest and regroup for their next series on D.

Another reason that the defense is playing better under Tebow is because with Tebow at the helm, Denver is having longer sustained drives and is coming away leading in Time of Possession once the game is over.

This is giving Denver's defense more time to rest and regroup for their next series on D.

    Sparky,

You said in post #261 "it just proves me point. If his defense gives up points early...he can't lead his team back to victory. He can only play if the game is in reach from start to finish."

But let's be fair and try to see if YOU can find any reason or reasons to believe from his QB play in the NFL, if he has what it takes? Let's see if you can find anything within him as a QB, to possibly "lead his team back to victory"?

    In 2010,

    WEEK #16

Tebow rallied the Denver Broncos past the Houston Texans 24-23 when he scored on a 6-yard scramble with three minutes left in his first home start against the Texans last year, capping a comeback from a 17-point halftime deficit.

    Then the following week...

    WEEK #17

Tebow brought his team back after being down 26-7 in the 3rd quarter to San Diego in but did lose 33-28.

    In 2011,

    WEEK #5

Tebow brought his team back being down 23-10 at the half against SD, losing 29-24.

    WEEK #7

Tebow brought his team back to a 18-15 win after being down 15-0 in the 4th quarter with 2:44 left in the game!!!

    WEEK #9

Tebow brought his team back to a 38-24 win after being down 17-7 at the half VS the Raiders.

    WEEK #11

Tebow brought his team back, yet again after being down 13-10 with 58 seconds left against the Jets to win 17-13.

    Did YOU find anything??? (lol)

Yet, to repeat again what you said "it just proves me point. If his defense gives up points early...he can't lead his team back to victory. He can only play if the game is in reach from start to finish."

He at least cares about his team, and is trying to do what he can w/ the talents he has. He does run scared like a wild pony when he feels the pressure. But that is old news if you ever watched him at Florida. Only Tennessee's defense (w/ head coach currently at USC) could stop him. But even they couldn't get the W.

It was frustrating for SD fans who want to see him smashed in the head 4 ever so he can be w/ his precious jesus in heaven.

SD is rolling back and is uncommitted to spending to win until they get to LA. LA is worth a billion dollars. SD=600 million. Money talks.

SD is giving up. Take Jags next week.

i lost by 0.5 point, in a game that involved the single worst offensive play-call ever... and resulted in a 10 point swing...

i made the right bet... you didn't... that is the bottom-line, and if you argue it, you're fucking clueless!

Or, when he loses to good teams and starts a full season next year and isn't having the same success, will you just say "well, I was talking about his first 6 starts of the 2011-12 season"?

Another dumb comment, so if he loses to top teams, which most of the league does, to the likes of NO, NE, GB, Tebow and the Broncos are no good?  What about when NO lost to St Louis earlier?  Does that make NO a shitty ass team because they lost to one of the crappiest teams in the nfl?  This is the NFL, anything can happen, the best can lose to the worst, vice versa.

so the 'tebow experiment' proved you wrong again i see? SD was 'no walk in the park' but he still got the win. you rag on his total yards and completed passes. but what about interceptions (or lack there of), or fumbles (even though he gets smashed over and over he doesnt drop it). the only stat that factors to make playoffs is your win loss record. and if the season started when tebow did we would be putting broncos in the same sentence as 49ers when we talk about 'surprise' teams. broncos would be above PATS, SAINTS BEARS, RAIDERS etc etc. but no they gave the snaps to orton for the first 5 games and now tebow is left to lift the broncos through his mess(1-4). tebow is a winner and thats that really. i dont watch to see stat sheets get padded i watch to see teams win or lose. and the beauty of tebow games is you know its gonna be a close gripping finish. maybe the most entertaining 'final 2 minute' player EVER!!!

I didn't expect them to win. But they did...albeit against an average team.

But like I said...McGahee and the defense won that game for him.

I love watching the highlights, however. "Tim Tebow does it again" and they show those 2 good throws he made and broke them down to take up time as if those 2 plays led them to victory.

You will all eat crow after Tebow wins MVP, SB then SB MVP this year.  This guy is unreal, how he motivates his team to wins.  When he came in for mop-up duty against the Packers he even outscored the Packers with Rodgers.  Best QB in  NFL right now as far as winning is concerned.

What you are failing to realize is that Tebow is a winner and a fighter.....and that stuff is contageous because it cant be bought or faked. He is making everyone else play better because they see how hard he is trying and that want to be on that level too .....

    Dont you get it?

i was just going to write something similar to this..  i agree with Train 100%.   Tebow has brought fire to this team, the players believe in him and they fight with him. The D wants to work their ass off now compared to before when orton was there...

LET ME BUMP THIS THREAD ONE MORE TIME AND PROVE THIS CLOWN WRONG!!!!!!!!

     1 Pat Angerer, LB IND
     2 London Fletcher, LB WSH
     3 Chad Greenway, LB MIN
     4 NaVorro Bowman, LB SF
     5 D'Qwell Jackson, LB CLE
     Curtis Lofton, LB ATL
7 James Anderson, LB CAR Desmond Bishop, LB GB
9 Antoine Bethea, S IND Patrick Willis, LB SF
     11 Derrick Johnson, LB KC
     12 James Laurinaitis, LB STL
     13 Sean Weatherspoon, LB ATL
     14 Nick Barnett, LB BUF
     15 Jason McCourty, CB TEN
16 Paul Posluszny, LB JAC Tyvon Branch, S OAK
     18 DeAndre Levy, LB DET
19 Lance Briggs, LB CHI Daryl Smith, LB JAC Kavell Conner, LB IND
     22 George Wilson, S BUF
23 Takeo Spikes, LB SD Wesley Woodyard, LB DEN Brian Cushing, LB HOU

    WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?
DENVER'S DEFENSE IS NOT REALLY THAT GREAT LIKE SPARTY HERE WANTS US TO BELIEVE. THESE ARE THE LEADING DEFENSIVE PLAYERS AND AS YOU CAN SEE, WOODYARD OF DENVER IS TIED WITH TAKEO OF SD @ #23
IF YOU GO LOOK AT THE OVERALL RANK OF DEN AS FAR AS DEFENSE GO, THEY ARE RANKED AT #18! 18!
NOW IF YOU GO LOOK AT TOP PLAYERS LEADING IN RUSHING, YOU CAN FIND TEBOW AT AROUND 31-ISH, ONLY ONE PLAYER BELOW CAM NEWTON AND 2 PLAYERS BELOW MICHAEL VICK! THE ONLY OTHER PLAYER IN DENVER THAT RANKS HIGH AMONG THE TOP TEN IS MCGAHEE. WHERE IS THE DEFENSE THAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT SPARTY! DENVER PLAYERS RANKS ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM AT # 38 IN TERMS OF INTERCEPTION. VON, MILLER RANKS AT NUMBER 3 WHEN IT COMES TO SACK BUT SACKING ALONE DOESN'T WIN YOU GAMES.

I HOPE YOU RESEARCH MORE ABOUT DENVER'S DEFENSE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN READING THROUGH YOUR THREAD SINCE YESTERDAY AND I GOT TIRED OF IT ESPECIALLY THAT THIS ONE KEEPS GETTING BUMPED UP BY YOU, ANYWAY THE DEFENSE OF DENVER IS DOING THEIR JOB, A REALLY GREAT JOB ONLY GIVING AWAY 20 PPG SINCE TEBOW TOOK OVER, IF YOU TAKE AWAY THE DETROIT GAME WHERE DEN ALLOWED DET TO SCORE 45 YOU'RE LOOKING AT ONE OF THE TOP DEFENSE SINCE THE FIRST BYE WEEK AT ONLY 15 PPG ALLOWED. THAT BEING SAID, YOU CAN'T SAY THAT THE DEFENSE AND A RUNNING BACK WON A GAME! FLIP OVER TO THE OFFENSE SIDE AND ANALYSE IT JUST LIKE YOU DID THE DEFENSE AND YOU CAN SEE THAT TEBOW IS DOING HIS JOB ALSO.AMEN!
