St Louis has not layed chalk since the Rams played @ home against Atlanta giving 3 to the Falcons on 11/18/07
That's 28 straight games were the Rams have been underdogs ...
and counting ...
Detroit went 21 straight games without giving chalk ...not since 9/7/08 were they were 3.5 point favorites in Atlanta .
The Lions went on to lose that game 21-34 , so I guess they get to try again .
St louis has lost 17 games in a row and they should ask Detroit how hard it is to get that first win .
The Lions went 19 games without winning a game , and we all know they went an entire season without winning a single game .
It seems like a perfect spot for St Louis to get that win and monkey off their back !
The Lions QB situation is a mess , their star wide receiver is a game time decision and the Lions  defense gives away points like it was candy on Halloween . 
I can't blame you a bit !

good god I wouldn't make the Rams my play of the year if my life depended on it. There are better bets on the table, regardless of whether or not this may be a right play.

I like the RAMS and the Over.  Both Ds giving up big points....  Bulger will live up to his Big pay package and SJ will have a good day

I do like Detroit ...but hell , I am a stats guy ...I can make convincing arguments for any team ! ...
ok maybe not these teams ..
Look for Detroit to come out very focused tomorrow ...
In a weird way , this is their super bowl ( ok toilet bowl for us ) ,
because this is a team that has been down for so long and coming off a winless season ...that this is their opportunity to make another team feel worse .
Trust me , they want St Louis to match their streak of futility badly .
Of course St Louis wants this game , but this game for Detroit @ home , off the bye is theirs to lose . ( and yes , they are capable of doing just that )
St Louis needs a GPS to find the endzone , and SJ has yet to get his Gamin ...
Offensively , Detroit will exploit that 30th ranked defense and put up enough points to cover this spread .

I'm a Rams fan and they are just flat terrible. Detroit has some offensive and the Rams do not play any D.  I can't bet them but I hope it hits for you. 

The Rams have lost 17 consecutive games and Detroit is 2-28 straight up in their last 30 games, so both teams should be fired up to play a game that they have a good chance of actually winning. St. Louis is only 12-28-1 ATS the last 3 seasons, but they're 6-4 ATS during that span when facing a team with a losing record, including 2-0 ATS this season - a 2 point loss at Washington and an overtime loss at Jacksonville two weeks ago. Both of these teams are bad on both sides of the ball, but my math model favors Detroit by just 1 1/2 points. When two bad teams (win percentage of less than .200) play each other it is usually best to take the road team, especially in a non-division game (that's 68-36-2 ATS).

DROPPIN DIMES...GAMEHENGER...IGOTTHEGOODS...COD2288:  First off, a trend is not a System.  Not even close.  If you watch the "System" forum you'll find 7 winners in my last 8 posts (UCLA and Texas yesterday, Jets last Sunday).  U can read the System utilized for each play...and find it is NOT just a simple trend.  Today's System is not being disclosed...because quite frankly...I have a few that I will not make public.  I will say that this one is based on a combination of game TOTALS/bye weeks/opponents.  I'll leave it at that...you can doubt it, pitch it, laugh at it..whatever you want.  I'm not one that's gonna go against a 20-0 system and that number alone is not the reason for the pick.  I'm not asking you or anyone else to play the game, but a few guys on here are looking for info that could help 'em.  So don't play it, I don't give a damn!

I follow you on the Toledo few weeks back and win big.

I have been fortunate enough to watch both of these teams play this year(being a Vikings fan) and I agree with this play.  The Rams are perfectly capable of beating a crap team on the road.  Their offense can move the ball its just the red zone TO's that are screwing them over.  The Rams can maintain possession while the Lions are more of a big play play offense.  I could see this being a 3 point Rams win.  IF CJ doesnt play this should be easy.
