The Dallas secondary are average at best. Were talking about Brett Favre in his prime . The cowboys have scored tons of points, but have not sustained time consuming drives consistently. It's either 3 & out or a 50 yd. td pass.
Big Stats: Cowboys TD vs. opp 44/25
Boys Time of Pos. vs. opp 31/28.5
They must sustain drives and run the ball consistently. Romo and Favre will probably both play well, but I think the game changer will be the rushing attacks. Who controls the clock.
How bout that for a serious discussion...

Heres another key point to remember:
Favre has never won @ Dallas. So i'd think that might fire him up
because before this season, Favre had never beaten Kansas and we all
saw him put an end to that....
ML sounds tempting...might lay a unit on it but GB +7.5 looks amazing to me!

this is the one game i have been saying I will not bet....however after seeing that the Packers are getting almost a touchdown i have changed my mind.
I am a huge Green Bay fan, I will be taking the points and my team in this one. I am still not sure the Pack will win but i think this one will come down to a field goal.
This is going to be a small wager for me just make it fun and have some $ on my team.
Packers +6.5 $330 / $300

You jumped on Green Bay +6 and ML +220 only to see those two bets tick upwards to +7 and ML +255. It wasn't the goofy public that pushed the line up to a full touchdown, so given that knowledge, how concerned are you that you may have underestimated Dallas' superiority in this matchup? Me, I'd have ripped up my tickets by now. By the way, when I first guessed this line, I said "Cowboys minus 4.....no, wait - minus 4.5." I was way off, and that told me all I needed to know. The majority of us think that the Packers are just as good as the Cowboys and the majority of us, I think, are wrong.
With all due respect, I am a trusting follower like many on here and greatly appreciate any suggestions you offer, I would like to make a case for Green Bay in a rather blunt fashion:
Vegas has been fucked by the top teams in the league this year. New England, especially, has won a lot of money for the public, Green Bay, Dallas, and Indy have made up the other 'elite' nfl teams which have also won the public a lot of money.
I think I have an understanding of your betting strategies, MrBator, to a certain extent (thought I certainly don't see the fugure the way you do). Also let it be known that I am a Packer fan. With that said, I am thinking you like Dallas because the spread doesn't make sense and the Public is on Green bay. However, I think the Packers match up pretty well with Dallas, assuming Woodson plays. I also think they can score with Dallas (ala the Giants) while they also have a better defense that the majority of Dallas' opponents.
Its just hard to accept the fact that Green Bay is very good. I may be wrong, and I'm not trying to be condescending. It took me, a Packer fan, a long time to fully accept that Green Bay is legit. In conclusion, I think this is another bet involving an 'elite' team in which the public wins.

As they say..... to good to be true.....say it ain't so! Green Bay looks like a lock at +6 but he line is steadily moving toward +7 with all the "experts" and public picking GB. Hmmmmm. Happened twice to the boys before where the line moved against them and they covered it easy. Has happened once where the line moved in favor of GB and they lost. Will history repeat itself? As for the total it is dropping and trends show that we should fade the total movement in this case. Over Maybe?

First, you should never make a big bet against the cowboys at home this year..
and add to the fact the recent additions of greg ellis, terrance newman, keith davis, and most IMPORTANTLY anthony henry back this week! these additions bring us back at FULL strength and now with a complete secondary and our pass rush improving, this team will hang with anyone in the league and is Superbowl worthy.. right now is not the time to bet against the boys.. and this will be the last time you will probably see a cowboys line this low for the rest of the season.

I've read this thread and here is what I've learned. The Packer fans will blindly bet on the Packers, and the Cowboys fans will blindly bet on the cowboys. So I went and skipped over those postings, and it seems that there is more reason to go with the boys. I would like to ask a non-cowboy and non-packer fan this simple question of do you see the line ever dropping to 6.5, or should I go ahead and grab it before we see 7.5 or 8. Thanks!

Even with the Dallas secondary at full strength, they still are suspect. Favre faced tougher this season and picked them apart with ease. My worry is Woodson being out, the big play potential of Dallas, and the home field factor. With these factors the Pack may not win the game, but I would take them at +7 without hesitation.

yea...weak schedule..basically dominated philly, giants,minnesota,chicago,...played worst game of season in buffalo---still won....were leading n.england in the 3rd qtr. and a simple holding penalty prevented them from taking a 10 point lead

I would tread lightly on the Over in this game. They probably could have set this line at 60 and got 2 way action. Instead it opened at 52 and moved DOWN. Vegas seems to be inviting the public to bet the over. I see Dallas playing safe coverage to protect Roy from getting beat deep and GB sustaining long drives through the short spread passing game. Dallas will also try to control the clock pounding Barber and Jones against a banged up Pack front line. This line is very very fishy.

should be an interesting game.....not completely sold on either team.....cowboys definitely have more talent.....favre will feel the pressure.....can the Dallas secondary defend? Dallas will score points! Can Green Bay keep up?
thought line would be 4.5......lean green bay
Dallas wins by a field goal.....27-24

Other then Minnesota, they were all close games? Are you looking at the same schedules I am looking at? Take those shit colored glasses off so you can more clearly. Also, most of those games you think look close really weren't and were a result of the losing team getting a couple cheap scores in at the end of the game. As far as the Bears game, one bad half after total domination in the first. Plus it is one of the fiercest rivalries in sports, and records are thrown out every time they play.
But thanks for posting the schedules, because it is easier to see how much tougher the Packers schedule has been then the Cowboys who has one of the easiest schedules in football. The good team they played they lost to soundly and convincingly.
