They signed Omiyale too......ok Williams didnt get alot of time...but hes not new in the system so hes working more on technique not learning all new shit.... never said the guys were great i called them upgrades....thats what they are right?I know Pace isnt the player he was 5 yrs ago,never said he was,but St Claire and Tait were garbage and we wont be seeing them again.....thats a plus no matter what....addition by subtraction
 
Hester can be dumb as a box of rocks for all i care,who would you rather see running with the ball after a catch?Kyle missed a wide open Hester so many times...shit zkyle couldnt put short passes in the right spot...go watch some of the Bears games screens and slants were missed every game!!!!
Cutler threw 150 more passes and still completed 4% better  than Kyle...and i bet Cutler didnt throw as many checkdown to the RB
 
Well now the Bears actually have a descent qb and even though it may take some time for them to gel as a unit,an improved OL both should help Forte...good thing they play the Browns,Bengals,Seahawks,Rams and 49ers....toss 2 games with Lions in there........ the line was worse last year and they split with both Minn @Pack....same result this year would be fine with me,but two beatdowns to the Pack would be nice
 
Go sign or draft a WR [again this is a deep class]and the rest of the picks for the D,sign one or two FAs...ill live with the results....an improved offense can only help a D that lead the NFL in plays at 1087....
 
Im ready for the season upgraded the TV....it should be fun MD

I have no problem with his reaction, and I am extremely happy to have him here in Chicago.

By the way, for those who think he has no one to throw to - Cutler will have two very good TEs in Olsen and Clark, and top 5 RB in Forte, a serious deep threat in Hester, his college teammate whom he has great chemistry in Earl Bennett, and now 3 WR draft picks from today.  I am not worried.

You are a complete idiot and know absolutely NOTHING about football!  Half of the team??  How do you figure?  They gave up 1 player (Orton - who they don't need because they now have Cutler) and two 1st rd draft picks.  One of those draft picks would probably have to be a QB anyway, so that is really only Orton and 1 draft pick.  Yes, they gave up a 3rd rd pick too, but they received a 5th rd pick back.  Oh, they traded with Seattle and got an extra 3rd rd pick today - so they replaced it anyway.

One thing to keep in mind as well.  If Cutler was in this draft or next year's draft, he would be the hands down #1 pick.  Trading two mid to late 1st rd picks for the hands down #1 pick is a GREAT DEAL any year.  You can't even argue that.  It's a fact.

1.  I would rather have Cutler than Cassel any day of the week.

2.  That was a gift trade from Pioli's old team (NE) to help him with his new team (KC).  NE has Brady back, so Cassel was easily expendable for them.

So losing the last three games last year was ALL Cutler's fault??  It had nothing to do with the Denver defense giving up 112 POINTS?!  That's over 37 points per game!!  That has nothing to do with Cutler.  He led them to 21+ pts in two of those games.  You can't expect much more from your offense than that.  Not to mention 2 of those games were on the road, and their RBs for those games were PJ Pope, Selvin Young and Tatum Bell.  Are you kidding me??  Do you THINK the opposing defenses are going to key in on the QB and passing game?  He finished those games with 847 yds, 2 tds, 4 ints - an avg of 282 yds, 1 td, 1 int.  2 of the 4 ints came in the SD game when they were down by 30 pts and attempted a total of 8 rushes!  He had to chuck the ball around!

Anything else to try to prove your point, numnuts??

Steve i put all the stats out there for these guys the extra plays the Bears D had to suffer through due to the lack of an offense in Chicago the D just got wore down and it showed late....a new QB,3 new OL starters and defensive line coach[some say one of the best]all before the draft....and yet Bears traded away their future for a crybaby QB....
Denver was 2nd in offense and 29th in defense and yet they argue Cutler didnt lead them to playoffs....i mean how fucking DUMB can one be?Say the stats are inflated but they were almost 1st in offense and last on defense....yeah blame Cutler, thats it
 
I stated the Bears most pressing needs in another thread and they drafted for every position and have 14 mill to spend with extra cash coming after cuts....granted all those players picked wont pan out[but two first round picks we traded away were NO DOUBT probowlers] but i like Iglesias and Gilbert looks NASTY on tape[and not just jumping out of the pool]Freeman  was a buckeye and i saw him play he looks like he should replace HH or at least light his fire....Melton has about 2 yrs at DE and if nothing else adds depth...two more guys for the secondary and Lance Louis listed as a TE but as a OG on other sites christ hes 6'2 303lb and ran 4.71....bet hes scores near goaline this season put in as a TE
