Listen this is really simple......The vikings, Packers, Lions fans can talk about this being a bad trade or that we gave up to much but facts are facts those teams would be lying out of there ass if they would not kill to have jay cutler.....
I mean look at the vikings do you honestly think that they would have traded with houston for sage had they known that cutler would have been available.........I think not!!!!!
I think it's a great trade for the Bears.I wish the Lions couldve gotten him but they are so bad I'd rather have the more draft picks because we have to rebuild in so many positions. The bears on the other hand were already a pretty good team.Im def not looking forward to having to play against Cutler and the bears now 2 times a year.Congrats on landing a Pro Bowl/Elite QB

YOU ARE A CLOWN. STeal of the century...PLZ get a clue Sonny. I can't even argue this nonsense. First Rd pick is worthless cuz of the expense??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
How can you argue with what he said there....Cutler is a better QB then what they had and Bears would soon be drafting for that need....they got a 25 yr old PROBOWL QB.....giving up 3 picks leaving them 8 this year still....only the Pack has more picks in the North and they have 9.....not having to sign that 1st rounder who may not pan out frees up money to get a player that is ready to fill a need
Some of the Bears 1st rd picks last 14 yrs.....Mcnown,Salaam,Enis,Terrell,Thomas,Grossman,Haynes,Benson,Columbo...none of these players had any kind of career worth mentioning and several were just flat out busts
Add Williams last years first rounder who hurt his BACK and is now ready to play but the jury is still out...
Cutler finished top 3 in yds,top ten in yds per att,top 10 comp %....almost 5% better than Kyle,6th in TDs...and struggled with Diabetes that had not been detected.....hes 25 so add knowledge and exp and he cold get better....
If Cutler forgets how to throw the ball bad trade.....otherwise its a great move, hes 25 and hes got a young ROTY runner up in Forte and the Bears have signed a few lineman other than Pace[and Williams],two young TEs,Hester is a good #2 so they need to find a WR but they do have some young guys....do that with the extra cash from not signing a potential bust 1st rounder
I keep putting the same stats out there but the proof is in the #s so here it is....D was on the field for 1087 plays 150 than the next team....yet finished 5th in yds per play..they had some guys out in the secondary and a rookie SS...they also finished 5th vs the run..if the other side of the ball contributes some more this year and we draft some help [8 picks or that extra cash again] the D should be better....not everybody was drafted with Urlacher avg age is 29

Sorry Rainman... Let me slow this down a bit for you.. I did not say that a 1st round pick is worthless because of expense..I said that they can take the cap money they SAVED on a first round pick ( that has a 50% bust factor) and invest in a solid free agent instead.. Bears Still have 8 picks left.. It is you that is incorrect in thinking the sky is falling down because they lose two 1st round picks.. Replace them with two free agent pickups.. with saved cash.. First round picks are for fantasy geeks for the most part.. Alot of overpaid busts.. The real NFL fan knows the value in the draft is found in rounds 3 -7.. These are the rounds that good teams build their future on .. WA wa wa... Two first rounders ( one the 18th pick..) another one due next year.. How will we survive ... Free agency and the draft.. If Cutler pans out it will be steal of the century IMO.. If not ... well they lose.. Good gamble IMO when you look at the state of starting QB,s in the NFL...... 18th pick in the draft.. .... For a Pro bowl QB.. ... Pay me the rest NEXT year......... OK...

You can throw all the stat out you want. 17-20 career with Zero playoff appearances. Notorious for showing up receivers, complete disrespect for authority. Great guy, huh? Tremendous decision making on his flip-flopping the past week. Just the man to run the huddle. Doesn't bother you he had a 3 game lead with 3 to play and doesn't make the playoff's?? 2 Td's and 4 INT's in those games.
What's the excuse at years end??? OH YES...He had NO receivers to throw to. Too bad cause, as you know, he has a better arm than Elway!!!
First round picks are gems in the NFL period. Chicago will not survive this trade. He's a cancer

im just worried about the protection for cutler. He's been around a good o-line, with 2 pretty good receivers. Jerry Angelo better be making more moves to improve on the offense. Also our defense either really sucked because of the play calling or the players abilities to stop the offense under pressure situation. Bears really sucked in stopping the 3rd and longs. Therefore, I really hope Cutler is the QB everyone expects him to be....(in my opinoin without any good receivers Cutler will suffer)
Which Receivers are those??? From Boston and am neutral, but I really dislike this trade for the Bears.
The ability Denver has to wheel and deal with the picks is invaluable. Trust me

well i seen someone post about the bears giving up 2 1st round draft picks and a 3rd.well they did get a 5 th rd pick from denver to.and on top of all the draft crap it wouldnt matter the chicago teams have no luck with draft pics.realy when was the last time the bears 1st rd draft pick was a big hit.and has been playing that way.and im not talking about defense iam talking about offense.all the QBs have been a bust the running backs bust (well matt has been good i like him) i hate to say it but chicago sports teams just cant draft any top preformers that produce. as far as who are we going to throw to well maybe since this is chicago, Plaxico Burress can bring his gun to town when he gets out.i know they been down that road before with tank but everybody is diffrenet we gave tank a 2nd chance he blew it so what we dont give 2nd chances any more? who says Plaxico Burress will be hagging out with his pistol in a night club?i think he learned a hard lesson there. and any way with the way contracts are drawn up just ad the cluase in small fine print. nobody is perfect so i am going to root for Plaxico Burress to joing chicago after he gets out i hope the bears give it some thought.

Yeah its all his fault the Defense gave up 52 pts to SD........the Denver D was trash and gave up avg of 37 pts a game last 3,until you retards learn that you cant win with one side playing well theres no hope for you .....see Denver for the perfect example 3rd best offense still finished 8-8........Saints were 1st in yds and pts but no playoffs....cause the D was CRAP....
WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHYTBULGER

Depeche this guys a fool...somehow stats and the fact Chicago hasnt had AVERAGE QB in years dont matter...not to mention the $$$ saved will go to fill a need,or that fact that theyve retooled the OL with two guys other than Pace...ALL THEY SEE IS TWO 1ST ROUND PICKS...OMG....theres at least a 40% chance one of those picks is a flop....
Its an 18th this year and as Greyhond pointed out[with an appluse from WHYTBULGER btw]the Bears arent a garbage squad they shouldve won 2-3 more games....So it should be a late pick next year seeing how they have upgraded the teams QB and OL and have 8 picks and FA $$$...so its a mid and late first for a better QB[DID NOT SAY MONTANA,just better than Kyle]..
BTW WHYT
Atl was top 10 in pts given up..teams moved the ball but couldnt score.....Denver was 30th in pts given up
AZ was only team in Division with winning record.......what else can be said.....you know how that works right?
Again Denver was 27th or worse in the LEAGUE IN EVERY DEFENSIVE STAT.........Im done with you fool....come back for some crow later this year or just change your name again i dont care anymore

We can go on and on...Even with a NFC North title it means little. Extremely weak division and it's evident Nuts and Depech are HOMERS. Talk to you in October

Alright guys another thing i have been reading on here that again makes no sense from those who are saying it is....Trying to compare the bears trade and what they gave up to what the chiefs gave up for matt cassell.......And it is not even comparable ...
First off cassell is nothing more than a backup someone the patriots could give away because he was never going to be there guy anyway.....Just say the patriots were going to trade tom brady what would there asking price be i'll bet more than a 2nd rounder...........
Also matt cassell reminds me of scott mitchell....Dan marino went down scott mitchell replaced him had one good year as the starter went to detroit the next year got a massive contract based on that one season and never accomplished anything.......Well that is matt cassell!!!!

Say what you want but all your points have been shot down buddy....i mean how can you argue with,"how did AZ make the playoffs"
Now its just,so what you still suck and so does your division......let me guess you were captain of the debate team..
Bears were two games outta the playoffs and beat some good teams last season....upgrading the QB and OL[3 guys] should help and they still have the draft with 8 picks and extra money to pursue some Free Agents.....nobody knows what Bears WRs can do with a QB that can throw the ball on time to the right spot.....as somebody pointed out see Wes Welkers career #s b4 he had a QB........watch Bennett this yr!!
Im sure i wont have to wait for October to see you post something retarded

We agree to disagree Payton. Matt Cassel is not a pro-bowl QB, but hardly scott mitchell.
You've given your opinion, as well as ducked your head like an ostrich the final wks of the tournament cause of your dismal record. I don't put much stock in your MLB/NFL calls....

Let me break this down for you so you will understand it. . . 60% of you offensive line is NEW. You are fucked in that dept. You need to build continuity and very rarely do new additions gel well together in their first season together.
IMHO Minnesota has holes in the secondary, QB, and WR. The Bears, on the other hand, have holes at WR, secondary, DL, and LB (and don't give me "we have urlacher shit" because he's the most overrated LB in the league), you also lack depth at most positions. Even some AM670 and AM1000 agree with me (Silvy and Waddle, the Afternoon saloon, etc etc. And, don't rule out GB either. Here's how I see it without the draft...
QB - - CHI>MIN
RB - - MIN>CHI
O-Line - - MIN>CHI
WR - - MIN>CHI
D-Line - - MIN>CHI
LB (with EJ healthy) - - MIN>CHI
Secondary - - MIN=CHI (could go either way even though we have a ProBowl CB)
ST - - CHI>MIN
Coaching - - CHI>MIN (by a slim margin because both coaching staffs aren't exactly HOF first ballots.

Bears gave up 23 yds more a game passing and had starters miss multiple games....i think we are about even here but whatever..Vasher was hurt in game two and Tillman got hurt soon after
Who do you have at WR other than Berrian? And that doesnt matter your qb still sucks....Orton would be a huge upgrade for you...
According to the #s ill take Briggs and Urlacher over your two best LBs...i guess you get the check cause Hillenmeyer is ass
You have all those advantages yet they split.....Bears just upgraded the offense bigtime..like it or not Cutler will make a huge difference in Chicago and he doesnt have to pass for 4500 yds...i can remember several passes that couldve changed games..shit Kyle missed a pass that woulda won the TB game in OT....got watch the game vs Houston....or the high pass he threw to Olsen that led to a fumble...having watched every Bears game last several years i gotta say even just a slightly more accurate+mobile qb couldve made a world of difference........we shall see

BTW Williams was with the team all year so hes not really new...he made the field late in the year but not for any real playing time...
ST Claire and Tait were our biggest problems on the OL....Pace is an upgrade just standing there and if he cant do it they signed Shaffer and Williams has gotta be better than a 35 yr old Tait .......as a group they cant be any worse

Berrian was and would still be your #1. Hester is probably one of the worst route runners in the game and has an IQ of 25. Nod easily goes to the purple. Urlacher is definately passed his prime. Our LBs are arguably the most overlooked in the 4-3 scheme and with EJ back this year you have absolutely no argument here. I'll give you that Vasher is a good CB but I would still take Winfield anyday of the week IMHO.
To think Williams (who knows if his back will give out any day of the week) isn't "really new," is a garbage statement. How many minutes did he play in the regular season because practicing with the team doesn't build "real" experience, playing on Sundays does. Pace is wishful thinking. Why in the hell would St. Louis, with probably the worst O line in the league, let him go if he is still effective? Kind of strange huh? I have never seen Shaffer play, but have hear on Waddle say that he is avg. Total mismatches here that not only favor the front 7 of the Vikings but also the Packers. All in all, I am looking forward to this season more than ever, especially since I live in Chi.

I'm not sure on that OL. Chris Williams didn't get to play much last year, I think he will be very very good. Pace is a future HOF'er. Kreutz is one of the best. Garza is very good.
St. Louis let Pace go because they are going nowhere fast and they know it. They need to think out 2-3+ years ahead. Same reason why they will let Torry Holt go. They are going to go young.

I'm not sure on that OL. Chris Williams didn't get to play much last year, I think he will be very very good. Pace is a future HOF'er. Kreutz is one of the best. Garza is very good.
