Hahaha this thread and every other there's no way the 49ers can lose this game threads are laughable. Rams win SU and I'll tell you why.
Rams have kap's number. They keep him in the pocket and slow his running just look at the stats, kap's worst games come against the Rams. Kap sucks and is a worse QB then Austin Davis IMO which most won't agree with but that's fine. This Davis kid has played some imprssive football and is only getting better while kap has peaked
49ers are overrated as a whole. They got no buisness laying more then a FG on the road against a division rival they have struggled against. 49ers lose SU to Rams then beat Denver next Sunday night. It's just that simple. Anyone that bet the 49ers is a sucker and is betting on the worst QB in this matchup on the road in division. It shouldn't be close

The Rams have the youngest starting defense in the league. Name 4 defensive starters for the Rams tonight who faced Kaepernick in their last head to head matchup.

i'll take away point #1 of putting pressure on Kaep. The rams have 1 sack so far this year. 1!!!!!!!!! The niners will be punishing the rams on the ground and control the clock. Austin Davis will no tbe throwing for 350 against this niners defense. And how is being down 38-7 to the Eagles keeping it close?? They made a nice comeback, how is that keeping it close though? I like the niners to come out fired up after that seahawks loss, I will be making a large play on san fran, and hope for the best

what's funny is that SF beat both Cowboys and Eagles which STL lost to but both games could have gone either way. STL blew a big lead vs the boys and allowed 2 defensive TDs to lose by 6. They scored 4 TDs in both games, and it appears both those Ds are solid.
On the other hand, SF got defensive TDs of their own vs Dallas and easily could have lost that game. They did punk philly tho and their d got some starters back which made a big difference against KC
I thnk the spread is spot on, don't think SF should be favored by more than 3 and this game is a total tossup and will be on STL money line
one other thing to note is that STL has only 1 sack this year and coming into the season their pass rush was thought to be their strength, therefore I think they improve off their early season performances and win outright

Reason #2 - Heart to win
My own personal thoughts are that I have seen so many situations like this where absolutely everyone is predicting that one team will easily dominate (in this case SF) and then all of a sudden you see the other team (in this case STL) come out playing their absolute best football and playing their hearts out. What motivates them? The fact that everyone is thinking they don't have a chance, that's what motivates them. I know if I were playing a game and everyone watching me thought I was a write off, I'd picture in my mind the look on their faces when and if I won, and I'd sure play my butt off to try and make that happen.

For the Rams, being on national TV is going to be their highlight of the season. It's essentially their kitchen sink game. For the Niners, they might be looking ahead to next week's game vs Peyton. Harbaugh/49ers are 4-7 ATS on the road vs. division opponents, and 1-3 at Rams. ST Louis hasn't had a good team for awhile.
