in case you havent realized it yet the pats were up 45-0 with 7 minutes to go and instead of just running the clock out and taking a win, they were passing the ball. Why were they afraid washington would score 46 points in 7 minutes.

Heres another perfect example of alot of you not totally understanding the nfl.

Yes we all want our teams to keep scoring on the other team until the gun sounds, but that isnt what nfl teams or any sports teams do to each other.

If you knew anything about pro sports, you would know that there has always been an unwritten rule about running up the scores. Its been this way forever.  When teams would get a huge lead, they wouldnt keep starters in the game and keep trying to score.  What belichick did was run up the score and thats fine.  He just needs to realize that he is changing a longstanding tradition that players arent used to.  Who knows that might be the new trend now in sports and like i said i dont care if another team runs it up, it just hasnt been done like this before.  Pro players in sports really are close knit group and just want to win their games, not embarrass other players.  Nobody said the pats players should stop playing, but the starters shouldnt have been in the game as long as they were trying to still score.  The game was a victory for them.

Also to the guys who are ragging on gibbs and the players that they should have been better prepared, get real.  Am sure they were as prepared as they could be for the pats, problem is pats are just that good a team and the redskins couldnt stop them if they let them have 13 players on the field.  As far as the redskins still trying to score, of course they have to keep trying or else they would look like quitters, but the team winning dont need any more points when the game is not even close to being in jeoparody if they scored even a couple of late td's.  Am sure when the score was 45-0 washington players didnt even want to run anymore offensive plays and just wanted the pats to chew up the clock.

I think alot of you just havent watched pro sports for that long and dont realize that this is how its been. You all have this kill kill kill mentality now in this world. Its amazing how nasty people have become, everybody wants to kick everybody.  Belichick has for sure changed the way games are going to be played at the end of games from now on, thats for sure.

and yes i lost my bet on the redskins and it wont be my last losing bet.  My posts have nothing to do with betting either, just some thoughts on pro sports in general.  So please dont think am crying cause the pats ran up the score on the team i bet, because i lost my bet when the pats were covering the plus 15 i had, so it didnt cost me anymore added money because the pats won by a bigger margin.  Now if my losing bet cost me more because of how high the pats ran the score up, then you could bet your ass i would be crying about it.

Oh and be warned all you pat backers, am playing the pats every week the rest of the year, so dont count on making anymore money this year on them, lolllllllllll.
