You have to argue the other side's case objectively, especially when you have one game to look at and two weeks to look at it. It's just the right thing to do.

Giants were pretty banged up on secondary, and Ohara center  during playoffs  at the end of the reg season and  now they had 2 weeks to heal ,also they have nothing to lose but to win this game out right ----Screw the point spread Pats Dont cover anymore they just sqeeking by lately and won themselfs back to the big game but they are all people just like the other side and its possible Brady might not Finish this game when  the Giants put some Pressure on Brady and he will be throwing more picks sunday and the Giants may have 2 defencive TDs when all said and done ----Take the points and first half over 27.5

How is winning by 11 & 9 and never being in danger of losing squeaking by? Giants are squeaking by if anyone is, they won their last two by 4 & 3, and were in danger both of those games.

Brasy got sacked once in the last matchup with half the o-line out. Where is this pressure going to come from? Defensive TD's? Now your really reaching.

The Giants have to run the ball, which quite frankly alot of teams have done to the Patriots. It seems like the Patriots weakness is at linebacker and Eli has excelled in the controlled passing game of late. I think the Giants will score but I don't know how you stop that offense with two weeks to prepare...

To all NE (-12) backers, remember you a putting your money on a team who is 2-8 against the number their last ten games, including losing their last five in a row to the number.  Once again, the Pats are asked to cover a DD number.  You wanted a reason not to take the Pats to cover?  What have the Pats shown in the last 10 weeks that makes them look like a good investment as a DD favorite yet again?
 
You wanted a reason not lay points with NE.  If that's not good enough, you are blind.  Zero covers their last 5 games.  2-8 against the number their last 10.  That's horseshit!
 
That said, my #1 play tomorrow is the under (for the game).  I see the total is starting to climb....hope it gets to 55 or beyond.

hey im a raiders fan-cant get much worse than that
totally undecided on this game.........i honestly dont think im gonna bet it.i may take the under and just watch it.I've got a couple "boxes" with decent numbers so i may just call that my bets for the day.my thing is this:the pats should blow them out since they haven't had that blow out game recently and have had 2 weeks to prepare the plan......BUT..........i cant rule out a giants win either.that makes no sense - and this game makes no sense.anything can happen here and even being the biggest degenerate around and having to bet a game every day - I just cant cap the fn game.i think it should be a 34-17 game and the pats take it.BUT like i said, i cant rule out a giant win either.good luck guys.

2-8 ATS in terrible weather against the most inflated point spreads in the history of the NFL. And yes, I rode the hell out of that train.

14, 13.5, 13, 22, 20.5, 10.5, 19, 24, 16 and 5 (Colts) 

12.5 here - I think that's the first realistic spread since the Colts game.

Guess I'm blind.

Pats will put up 31 regardless......Brady 3 TD minimum.  they're angry.  They're going to try to make it ugly.  It'll work and the rout will be on, Pats hit 50 maybe.
 
Or.....
 
Brady goes for too much too soon, turnovers happen.  Giants stay in it......and can score with the Pats.
 
Eli will throw 4 of something.  Picks and TD's combined.....4 or more altogether.  If he's throwing touchdowns, it's points.  If he's throwing picks, it's points for the Pats.
 
All this tells me?   uh, pound the over.  Before it hits 54 if you're smart.

If that's your reason for playing the Giants then you shouldn't be betting.

As for the reasons why the Giants will cover? Well as has been covered above they need almost a completely flawless game and I believe in order to win SU they need at least 2 defensive/special teams scores. As any of you know who have read my posts I firmly believe that this one will be a laugher and Pats win easily, as for the reasons? I could go on and on (check my thread for a brief writeup) but the bottomline is have a good time tomorrow boys watching the greatest team of all time accomplish history

OK 3rd how about The Brady Bodyguards as a reason.
 
He’s been sacked a career-low 24 times this season playing behind the hefty Neal (6-foot-4, 305 pounds), left tackle Matt Light [stats] (6-4, 305), left guard Logan Mankins [stats] (6-4, 310), center Dan Koppen (6-2, 296) and right tackle Nick Kaczur (6-4, 315).
 
I think two of the starting linemen G/T were kept out of week #17 game............and all though Brady was hit and rushed only one sack.
