MMMMMMM i'm betting we finally going to see Bad Eli again. Sybil has kept him hidden as long as she can. I am taking GB and giving the points. Just my opinion good luck all.

Ari had me looking a little closer at QB ratings.
In 9 GB Home Games:
Favre had a 100+ rating in 6 games vs Sea, Det, Oak, Car, Min & SD.
Favre had a sub-100 rating in 3 games:
GB -3 vs CHI (83.5) GB lost 27-20 Loss ATS
GB +3 vs PHI (58.2) GB won 16-13 Win ATS
GB -3 vs WAS (43.5) GB won 19-16 push ATS
Point being, in 2 games vs NFC East Teams, Favre had his WORST outings of the year at Home. In the 3rd game vs NFC EAST that was on the road vs DAL, he was knocked out of the game in the second quarter (89 rating).
I am not expecting another fabulous Favre performance this week as he has shown weakness vs NFC East. Similarly, one cannot expect Ryan Grant to match the performance of his career high game last week (201 yds/3 TDs).
The Giants seem to have found a correct role for Manning... don't turn it over! If they keep the turnovers to a minimum, their D can keep them in this game. If they put serious pressure on Favre... he has the capacity to try too hard and start throwing into crowds. Who's to say Favre doesn't self-destruct while everyone's waiting for Manning fold up.
TRENDS:
Reasons I dont like the Giants are generally "trends"... 3rd road game in the playoffs doesn't sound like a winner. GB 31-1 record at home in sub-34 degree weather, etc.
Last week, we learned that the NFC #1 seed was 17-0 SU in the divisionals... then the NYG blew that trend away.
The trend which says to go against the highest scoring team from the previous playoff round went 1-0 last week thanks to the GB win over wildcard-high-scorer, SEA. Interestingly, GB takes over the honors for this trend this week after scoring 42 last wk.
Trends generally suck me in but this week, I am leaning to the NYG in what should be a close game. GB is 2-1 vs NFC East and hasn't blown any of them out yet..

The cold can hurt a QB's mechanics and out of the two QB's its going to affect Eli more, in my opinion. IF the Giants D line keeps them in the game then Eli won't have to force the ball and it may be a non issue.
Another thing I've noticed in the NY news is that the Giants players aren't approaching this game in the same mentality as the Cowgirls game. There's a lot of talk about how they despised the Cowgirls and TO which really lit a fire under them and how GB is the total opposite and the respect they have for Farve.

WRONG! The Cowboys lost on Saturday night to Washington. The Packers could have locked up home field the next day and had EVERYTHING to play for!

at the time of the chicago game, the packers could have won out and dallas could have lost a game. that would have given gb the home advant. so they did have a chance.
