who cares what his completion percentage is there is more to the giants than his throwing and if there is the same conditions in gr bay this week as it was last week i am more willing to take the giants because our running game is better and farve is a rich mans version of kerry collins

Just want to mention that Favre played like crap in that cold weather game in Chicago last month too.
He looked like the coldest guy on the field. His face was beet red.
I'm surprised they are playing this game at night. Why not move it to NOON and have the Patriots play the second game where it's going to be a little warmer.?
Fans are going to freeze their azzes off up there with no sunlight.

i remember a game the Packers got torched in not too long ago in Chicago. It was 17 degrees gametime and remember the Packer players huddled around the heater near the bench like little schoolgirls. I belive the Giants went into this same stadium in December and won. Take Eli's stats past 4 years and throw em out. It's his 4th year in league so why are we using his stats from his 1st 2 years anyway which throw things off to begin w/??? It's not the cold that affects qbs it's the wind and elements. Giants stadium is one of the windiest stadiums in the NFL just take a look at FG accuracy in Giants stadium it's always bottom of the league as is passer rating and accuracy. Now give me some real stats and tell me Eli's road stats and even more importantly give me what he's done lately which is all that matters. Don't turn it over and give your team a chance to win. Giants have been a model of efficiency lately which is all you can ask for in the elements. Gints pass rush difference in this game 23-17 Giants win

I was at both games. As a Bears fan, I can say that I was impressed with Eli Manning in the 4th Q of that game. He showed A lot of poise and even when rattled, made the plays. Green Bay got smashed and the Bears OWN them. Lovie is 6-2 vs. the Pack and the Bears have won 5 in a row in games that mattered (throw out last game last year). If I were the Giants, I'd watch the Bears games on tape and do exactly what the Bears did to win. RUN, RUN, Play action down field! Stop Ryan Grant and put pressure on Favre with 4 lineman and play cover two. Favre cannot beat the cover 2.

The difference is that Green Bay wasn't playing for anything because Dallas already had home field locked up! The Giants were still playing for something in that game! BIG difference!
This is a chance to get back to a Superbowl - For the LAST time in Brett Favre's career! I don't think he will let the cold come between him and that opportunity!
Packers ROLL and crush the giants who will turn the ball over ALL day long! This isn't even going to be close!

ARI - Wouldn't most QBs follow this pattern? It would seem to make sense that most QB's ratings are worse in below freezing temps.
I would guess that Favre's "rating" is worse in colder weather too however the 31-1 record for GB in cold weather (Home/below 34 degrees) reflects the team's play "as a whole" vs teams "who can't wait to get outa town"...
I wouldn't put too much into the Manning rating. I was at the NYG/WAS game which was cold and windy... he threw about 10 good passes that were dropped in that game.
