    Minnesota wouldn't give him a three year deal. Just a year by year kind of deal. Minnesota made it known they are drafting their QB of the future. He wanted nothing to do with that (honestly don't blame him). Then of all BS moves to do ATL brings him in. Gives him a three year deal. Promises him that it is his team. Then drafts their QB of the future behind his back. Kirk was miffed about it but put all that aside by training camp and was there to work. He has worked with, tutored and helped Penix all season long. Even during the game you can see him talking to him. Kirk is honestly a great guy. He is never going to win you a Superbowl as THE GUY. Maybe on a team like the Ravens years ago or the Bucs many many years ago when the D is dominate, running game top notch and they just need a guy who is asked to check down the ball and stretch the field once in a while to keep the D honest. But he is still not washed. Not yet anyway.

    @OverAmbassador

     i don't have to believe it. His team mates , and organization did.

    I dint hear any team mates coming out in his defense? crickets.

    and the fact that the coach was backing him continually, then changed his mind, says the LOCKER ROOM spoke.

    Tools like you always resort to name calling when you get owned in discussions. carry on.

    The real question should be why does the falcons coach still have a job today.  Thats todays mystery for me.  The guy single handily lost that game for his total stupidity.  You have a whole coaching staff and yet these bozos managed to fuck up simple stuff.  That coach would have been fired last night if i owned the team.  Everybody makes mistakes, that coach simply doesnt know how to manage a game, so he shouldnt be earning an nfl salary.  Just my opinion, which doesnt really mean much

    @jesron1269

     I liked kirk in Minnesota. I like him on the field, always played hard. competed.I was surprised he left.

    I think he rushed back too soon. His mobility has been limited, but he is a warrior.

    I agree with you the circumstances in Atlanta were a recipe for disaster.

    There is also a different organizational philosophy in Atlanta

    @cd329

    To add to that... I have said for many years now that what always amazes me is that the NFL is supposed to be a highest level of football but for whatever reason it seems to attract (and recycle) the biggest egomaniac and moronic coaches I have ever seen. 90% or more High School coaches could make better decisions in game than most NFL coaches. Yes there are a few true geniuses among them, but most are beyond stupid. People like the former Chargers head coach and McDaniels you got to wonder WTF they have incriminating tape on to get the jobs they got. I could name more but those two really jump out at me. Yes I know the formers Chargers coach is gone and they got a pretty good one now. But that is besides the point.

I didn't imagine these things.  I found more than 1.   Then you add qualifiers. you are right, everyone else is wrong.   I mean , if i take you literally, mid season would be game # 9, so it would be hard to find a rookie QB put in in game #9 in any season. and then it would have to be a road game.

    You names 2 qb’s who played nearly half the season and I will give you Shaun king even though he didn’t beat a single team on the road that year.

    So… you have 1 qb who fits the criteria in the last 30 years. I like those odds

    @OverAmbassador  "find me a rookie qb that has been thrown into the role mid season and was successful in the playoff hunt in the last 30 years. You will not find one"   Now you are saying first road game. I am not reading between the lines. I just read what you wrote, and responded to what you wrote.

    So, what you are saying is, i named 2 qbs who met your criteria, and you discount them?

    half season/mid season, almost identical, no?

    are you a parody account?
