Is Rivers a devout Christian? Yes he is and he's a great family man but because of that, his actions and how he habsbes himself should be under the same microscope that all other races are under. The fact that this thread was created and some of the comments have been made; it reiterates just how far off our society is. Race is our problem in America yet the twitters, facebooks and forums out there give a free pass to open ones mouth picking and choosing what they THINK is right and wrong. Sad time for our country.
But you never mentioned what your thoughts are regarding the original question,"what would have happened if a white player stood up at a press conference and said white power".i wasn't hear trying to defend rivers,or was I vilifying antonio  brown.

I think ive talked to you before,and I think we have discussed about both of us living in Chicago,unless I got you mixed up with someone else.Im not trying to defend what some white people or cops do,but don't tell me black people have never committed crimes against white people,it aint just a one way street like some people protesting will try and make you believe.

Tell me one area in Chicago where a black person is gonna have a problem,if he is just walking down the street.The only one that comes to mind to me is like taylor st, Bridgeport area.Now tell me what black neighborhood you could walk through,and NOT have a problem in,not a single one.Lets not pretend that black people are only victims here,and that they welcome white people into their neighborhoods with open arms.

You really cant be that f ckin stupid can you,blue power aint bringing up a racial issue,panther or Carolina aint a racial issue,just like if someone said blue supremacist it doesn't have the same bad connotations as a white supremacist,see the difference.i personally never said anything about being offended,there aint any words cam newton could say that would offend me.What im saying is that if any white player had said white power at a press conference,a lot of people would have a problem with it.

Of course they would have had problem with it why? Because when people here the phrase white power a certain names comes to mind. Hitler is one and what professional role model would want be associated with someone like him and all he stood for? The thing about it is when people hear the term white power they think of hate and because black power sounds like white power but just black it must mean the same thing (you obviously believe both or one in the same) and it doesn't which was what I tried to explain earlier in this thread and why I used blue power as example to black power because neither one should feel offensive and does not signify hate.  Does it alienate from other races? Maybe but its history in all of that. You should do your homework bro you may learn a thing or two between the two.

You just pounced. People like you act like racism is a figment of our imaginations and then turn around and, sometimes in the same post, you spew hate. We have a mass shooting, a white man with a gun, yet we are talking about an African American qb with a feather in his hat trying to advocate for his race. Black power was a way for blacks to emerge from the nasty shadows whites cast back in the day. Like it or not, white supremacy was some gross nasty $hit. People nowadays want to discount it but it holds true. garbage some still feel like they are the oppressor. It’s also not that far removed from our generation which means some of yalls relatives were the oppressors.

All media sheep. You go outside and everyone gets along pretty much fine. It isn't till you turn on a television that it seems everyone hates each other. 

The media stands behind the kneelers and cam as their "right of expression" yet anyone, even the president, who uses their right of expression to not like it is labeled a racist. That's intentionally stirring the pot jist for ratings and so many stupid people will just believe ANYTHING anyone tells them if it's on tv and of it gives them an excuse to why they have underachieved in life. 

I don't deny racism in this country at all. I say that cuz I know leftists reading this post are already saying in their mind I'm saying that. The problem is it has gotten so ridiculously overblown the last few years it's become a punch line, it's literally the boy who cried wolf. It's very very very easy to find the kneeling disrespectful, no matter how many times they try and say it isn't a jab at the military. You're not a racist or "don't care" because you hate the kneeling, yet the media is trying to make you one. People don't realize they're being played by the media for ratings and by the democrats for votes. These same people will rip Trump for the p$ssy grabbing comments yet praise bill Clinton even though he got a BJ in the white house, it's just so ridiculous. 

These players "hate the division" yet weekly go out and do something they know is gonna divide, it's lunacy and why weren't they doing it a few weeks ago. Oh that's right, cuz now it's all over the media. It's empty and fake, especially as most of these players are cheating on their wives then calling other people racist for booing their black power salute. I completely understand the difference between black power and white power, there is a difference, but no-one is a racist for not wanting to see it, that's just them being racist, seriously. 

Don't even get me started on the joke that is BLM. Problem is all these people are just such hypocrites. Kapernick supports Fidel Castro for christs sake, how ignorant and uneducated do you have to be to do that? Then actually have the nerve to call others racist. 

Again, you're all being played by the media for ratings. They're stirring the pot way worse than any white man and you sheep are eating up with a spoon cuz it makes you feel like some kind of hero or intellectual, and you're neither.

It's really not that funny.

It's simply that you are a white male who feels aggrieved whenever the terms black and white are used. And this is very common among middle-aged white males who feel 'attacked' because well, the word white has never been used in the terms its being used today.

Black Power typically refers to the empowerment and advancement of the race itself through rectifying disparities of economic, educational, and a societal nature.

These definitions are fluid of course so you could always claim plausible deniability to suit your cause (which you will, because you created such a thread).

White Power has been grown to be seen as hateful of other races. Why is that? Because Nazis and skinheads absolutely love the term and use it to mean exactly that.

So what's funny?

Or do you reject those two definitions? Because that will probably be the case no matter what anyone tells you.

And this is typical of the aggrieved white male mindset. Upset the status quo of the dominant culture (and there are obvious reasons for their 'dominance' and it has nothing to do with genes or work ethic), and you will get blowback.

Because well, the apple cart no longer runs as smoothly when people question status and why that status exists.

It's why Trump calls players "Sons of bi***es" when 95% are black or brown but doesn't say the same when white NFL owners knelt with them the following week.

They are of the exact same mindset as Trump in this regard.

Hey Scalabrine. How about answering my original question??? For the record. I am  Spanish. I  from Merritt Island, Florida. My dad was in the Army. My grandfather and grandmother on both sides are from Spain. How about answering my original question?
