Really, who gives a fvck what Cam Newton says, he beat the Patriots on there home turf, scored a TD, and gave the ball to a fan in Gillette Stadium....his actions speak for themselves...this is a free country (the last time I checked) he could say what he wants, when he wants, ever hear of your constitutional rights of freedom of speech. nobody says you have to agree with anything he says, or even listen to him.  

I notice you never mentioned anything about if a white player had said anything about white power.According to what you just said,then doesn't the president have the  right to the same freedom of speech,nobody said the players have to agree with what he said,or even listen to him.

I understand both sides of the Black/White issue and as a white male I understand Cam's statement, it wasn't offensive to meat all. It's about the Police brutality and my Dad was a cop in Harlem for a long time and he's pretty racist as a lot of police are. They see that lots of crimes are committed by blacks in poor income area's and they have to deal w the dangers that come with the job that they signed up for.

I don't know what it's like to be black in this country but I'm sure it's not easy. I never got pulled over because of the color of my skin and I can go any where and never worry about people thinking any less of me. I feel that's the way it should be for every one no matter what color your skin is.

People that feel weak and insecure want to feel empowered.  The psychological conditioning effects of of blatant racism isn't going to vanish in just 2 generations.  That's what so many people fail to realize. 

Racism is a many way street.

Blacks are way more racist towards whites as the other way around anymore and they know they can get a pass on it.
 Hence Cam...Sherman the Bennett Bros. and so many more....they are  too numerous to mention.

Ya I must of missed those 100s of videos where that happens where white americans are lunging and taunting the cops,and they are reluctant to pull their service revolvers.But I did see the video from Baltimore,where all the little gangbangers where throwin broken off pieces  of big concrete rocks, at the cops in riot gear,and the cops never even took out their revolvers,they didn't hesitate taking them out,they never took them out.And I do remember black people marching down the street chanting about killing police,and the police did nothing.

We're talking about cam newton and race today yet what about Phillip Rivers yesterday? He goes off, basically throws a temper tantrum yelling at his OC yet no comment on that? He's kicking his feet, screaming.....no comment by anyone? Antonio Brown goes off and the media is all over him. Anyone care to explain this? We can pretend all we want that all things are equal in this society and you can key in in African Americans (no, not THEY as some of you put it) but there needs to be a two way street here. I'm sure I will hear some smart a$$ comments about how it's different but if Jameis Winston or Cam Newton acted like Rivers yesterday there'd be a press conference with the media and all you guys in here going off. I'm a white man who works in a very diverse environment, one of the roughest in the United States and as msuch as white America thinks they know what's going on, they don't. Things are not equal and as much as I have issues with certain things that all races do and how all races act, let's start calling everyone out rather than the polarizing athletes who choose to put feathers in their caps. Is Rivers a devout Christian? Yes he is and he's a great family man but because of that, his actions and how he habsbes himself should be under the same microscope that all other races are under. The fact that this thread was created and some of the comments have been made; it reiterates just how far off our society is. Race is our problem in America yet the twitters, facebooks and forums out there give a free pass to open ones mouth picking and choosing what they THINK is right and wrong. Sad time for our country.

This isn't politics. I asked a question. What would happen if a white QB would have said he raised his fist to signify white power. What would happen? I'll tell you. ALL HELL WOULD BREAK LOOSE!!!
