Actually, it's a dream scenario for wagering the 49ers, last night's game will plant seeds in the average bettor's head that TB is a great team again.

People are only seeing what Brady did in the 4th quarter last night, but that was attributed to the Saints poor play calling and a dropped pass more than anything.  Brady completed 20 passes for 150 yards through 3 quarters against a NO defense that has his number.  The way to negate Brady is to apply pressure without blitzing.  NO does it well but SF is even better, Brady will have a brutal afternoon, worse than how he played last night.

The other swing factor here for the casual bettor is the Jimmy G factor.  Average Joe is going to see ESPN and everybody else make fun of Brady's numbers against Purdy, thinking that in itself is reason to take the points.  However, the opposite is true, especially for a team at the top of the standings.

SF is going to play extremely hard with Purdy under center.  They will put forth their A+ game.  A veteran coach and team know what they have to do to make this situation more manageable for a young kid making his first start.  

A drop from the advanced line of -6.5 to -3.5 is absurd.  Books were too scared of the liability at that high of a number, but I made the game -6 so I would have bet SF at -5.5.  -3.5 is a gift...

TB is in the 17 points per game range this year.  Brady is not a shootout guy anymore.  Put him up against a D that will pressure him into overthrows and make him eat grass, I don't see TB crossing 14 points.  SF will put up north of 20.

49ers are likely the best defense TB has faced all year, not sure how Brady is going to get anything done unless he does the HUPO approach
