You said in your first thread that we need to bet "flat" bets (same bet each time), but would you recommend bumping your units higher if the Middle Number is higher or no? So if I played $100 units, would it be smart to do 1u on 10pt+ plays and 1.5u on 15pt+ plays?

I would recommend sticking to flat bets. The only time I will bump my units is in college plays where I feel I know how the game is rolling... Like yesterday, I tripled up on the Georgia -7 2H wager and I doubled up on the Nevada -3 2H and Troy/UNT Under 28.5 wagers.

This is my first year playing this system, but so far from the games I have played it seems the NFL games are playing out a lot closer. Not saying there wasn't any close calls in the college plays, because there definitely was.... Just a lot more plays where you weren't

Man there are a lot of lazy people on here that like to just make money and not do any sort of research.

Here's a bone for all of you:

I have sports data dating back to the 2009 season.  That's 816 games....pretty good sample size.   I've run every spread from 7 to 22, double & triple checked my numbers.  Here are the winning %'s.

Best of luck everyone.  Do the research!!

Hmm, the forum didn't like the table I posted, sorry - now I really screwed up the thread!

    Here's the table again:
          Team W %    Total W%
    7    58.5%    47.0%
    8    60.3%    46.8%
    9    59.9%    47.0%
    10    59.8%    48.0%
    11    59.5%    47.3%
    12    60.3%    50.0%
    13    63.0%    55.5%
    14    58.7%    55.0%
    15    57.5%    53.8%
    16    64.0%    54.9%
    17    65.6%    57.1%
    18    68.6%    57.7%
    19    66.7%    59.5%
    20    64.5%    61.1%
    21    56.5%    65.6%
    22    52.9%    63.2%

Something else I've done is money management.  10+ pts = 1unit play, 13+ pts = 2units, 18-21 will be 3 (there hasn't been one yet)

Week #2 the system went 3-4-1

Week #3 the system went 6-3 (Monday night still to come)

    that's a total of 15-10-2 or + 4 Units and 60%...

and if you go back and read my first thread on this subject in week 1, I said you won't get rich and you won't win every single week but you will show profit at the end of the year. I think we'll end up closer to 70% but I'll take 60% thus far.....

    Thanks Porky!

I will take 60% but going into last night was this:

    Vikings +7 2H

    Titans +4 2H

    UNDER 25 NO/KC 2H

    Bengals +3.5 2H

    Atlanta +4

    Arizona +4½

    Houston/Denver over 22

Porky system 4-3 so far today....maybe tonight game will be a play also!

And a winner last night is 5-3.  I went with you on last nights game and nice.  I'll stick with it to the end risking same money each week.

    jredmond - you're a skeptic.  So am I - I don't ever like throwing around money on someone else's say-so.

But you can't be a skeptic AND not take the time to double check the numbers.  Either you take it at face, or you do the extra work.  I happen to be an IT guy, so I have an advantage as it took me 15min to compile the %'s once my data was in place.  Sounds like you don't have the time to do that....Then take it as truth, from someone that cross referenced everything NJPorky states.  The numbers don't lie, he doesn't lie.

jredmond what you are failing to understand is the % you see each number is what that point middle hits....so take 10 point middles hit 59.8 and totals hit 48% according to his stats. For 13 point middles 63 % for sides and 55.5% for totals. but if you look closer how do the percentages drop when you go from 13 to 14 to 15 and then jump back up when you go to 16 on the sides? The percentages are for that point middle and that point middle only...not all plays that are 10+ points or greater and then 11points greater and so on and so forth. So if you get 100 plays at 13 points that hit at 63% and only 10 plays at 10 points which hit at 59.8.  Your record is 63-37 for the 13 point middles and 6-4 for the 10 point middles...but Overall your record is 69-41 which is 63%...understand now? XDepending on how many plays fall in a particular category can affect the overall percentage. Also is he using his lines? opening lines? closing lines? who knows if his %'s are based on the same numbers I use to decide if it's a play or not? Do you know how many plays fell into each and every point spread difference? I sure don't... Lastly even at 60% the system is profitable, so what's the problem??? I just don't understand why you must come on here and keep posting your doubts? You doubt it, don't follow it. Noone is forcing you to come on here and read my threads. You don't believe it works, fin skip over th thread and move on but why must you come on here and post your doubts and constantly try and prove it wrong? Why must you constantly question it?  What are you getting out of it?? Are you jelous I developed something that works?? I just don't understand, when i think someone dosen't know what they are talking about or I disagree with i stop foillowing them. You on the other hand, it seems like you are lurking waiting to jump as soon as it has a bad run. It seems like it is bothering you so much that you have been following for 3 weeks and it's winning and proifitable. So now you are picking on any little thing you can find. Porky says it will hit at 70-75% and it's only at 60%. Porky says he wnt 6-3 this week and it's only 5-3. Porky says he dosen't use it in college and yet i do when i can. What i really said is it's alot of work and rarely am I home all day on a saturday to put the work in to track it constitently. So please jredmond if you don't like it, don't belive in it, just go about your life and leave us alone. I believe in it, i have been using it for years and I show a profit. That's all I care about. I was trying to share with others and maybe having everyone track and maintain the spreadsheets, maybe we can tweak it and improve it. That's the idea of the forum to get others involved and we are all trying to make money....sorry my system bothers you so much and I'm sure you'll be here to pounce when the system has a bad weekend....gl to you sir

schiman is it possible for you to run the numbers you have and have the percentages show the following:

    all games 10 points +

    all games 11 points +

    all gmes 12 points +

    ect....

I would imagine the higher you go the higher the percentage would get...i don't the numbers from all the years i have been using this, that is part of the reason i started this so others can help track and keep the numbers and I'd love to see your data like that.

Actually Porky - that's what those %'s are.  Hence why taking b/w 17 & 21 are better than to take 22.  Something happens around key numbers that cause the system to have high's & lows.  So if the system calcs 13 it actually has a higher prob of 14.

As for the totals.  2009 really dragged those %'s pretty low.  If you started doing this in 2010, they're all > 55%.  I couldn't really get the Totals to prove successful, they're just all over the place.  I even tried Over's vs Under's....still - all over the place.

btw - sorry again about posting a table.  I should have known better.

If you want to read to the right, Select the text, hit <ctrl-c>, then go to some email or even in this message section and hit <ctrl-v>.  That should paste the whole message for you.

schiman unless that is the numbers you have above and I misunderstood them.... I'm assuming the numbers above are the percentages for each number and that number only. so 10 is 10 point middles only and so on and so forth. I would like to see all 10 point and greater, then all 11 point and greater and so on and so forth....can you clarify your percentages. And once again these are the numbers from 2010 to present correct???

wow schiman that's really weird...14 and 15 point middles must have been awful as the percentages drop significantly yet the 16 point middles have been great and the percentage jumps back up.... I would love to see all the numbers for the last 8 years cause like you said 2009 killed the totals, maybe there were great years also...and if I may ask where do you have all this data from??? I would love to get my hands on it and keep with what I am doing for this season...thanks

Porky, I just want to say thanks. I used your system on cfb saturday and nfl. Though we started rough on nfl, I doubled up on the later games. My local has now cut me off. Screw the haters, this system worked for me.

    Cheers and bol.

Nice work on the data crunching @schiman!

This will help me/us out a lot...interesting that at 10-12 pts percents of Totals wins isn't covering the juice but in regards to the spread it is!
