This type of thread is so typical on Covers. If the Lakers win and cover "they were suppossed to" and everyone will forget about this thread and go on with their life....if the Pistons cover (or win as Train is predicting) than all of a sudden we have a genius on our hands

If someone like Mr. Bator were to start this thread I would be interested. But (and this is meant with no disrespect) Train plays every game on the board every night including round robins as if they're going to stop NBA gambling at any moment. Like I said, if LAL win this thread dissapears by 1:00am. If the Stones win, Train gets some attention for a while. GL w/ that

Agree 100%. Oh man Train won the Pistons game with a genius angle...too bad he juiced himself out with 10 other bets or simply went 2-6 on the night.

Anyone who gives someone prophet status after a 5.5 home dog wins outright is an idiot. I don't know if that is what train was going for or not. Covers should be about discussing the games and trying to help each other find angles to win money. Unfortunately it's more about a few good cappers and a lot of morons who are angry they lost money hating on other people because they either tailed them and lost or just hate life. Why does starting a threat about a team you think is going to win have to make you a glory hound though?

Because he plays every game on the board every night. That's why this is typical. That's why if it were someone who rarely posts plays and when does wins, it would be different. I meant no disrepsect as I stated in my post. All I stated is this is a typical covers thread. That's all. Calm down. Put what you just lost this morning on the next NCAA tourney coin flip of a game and then double that down on Pistons ML. Come back later and tell me how much you're up GL

Please go back over all my nba threads and find me a losing night. There are a couple, but it will take you awhile. I'm hitting over 70% from february on.....but I guess you know that since you always check out my threads.....

Typical covers thread? You mean one where a game is discussed and someone gives reasons to take the home dog?

And this thread is why people lose 95% of the time in sports betting. Instead of handicapping situations, they handicap "Vegas fixes" "Vegas theories" lol. Best of luck to you.

95% of the Piston love in this thread is for three reasons:

1) The Lakers suck on the road-fade the public

2) The Lakers blew out the Heat on Sunday

3) This line should be -8 or -9

If this is all the information people use to cap a game, that's pretty sad and you deserve to lose your bets. I haven't seen any DET backer (at least in this thread) actually breakdown the matchups and show a decided advantage somewhere

all i know is i have over 29.5 pts for kobe and will be rooting for that..i cant see the lakers possibly losing this game after a huge victory of MIAMI. that being said pistons will win lol

But they're 12-8 ATS at home.  You know, the stat that's more pertinent.  Meanwhile, the Lakers are 5-13 ATS on the road.  Yes, the Lakers should win this game.  Discounting the Pistons because they "suck" is foolish, though.

I have Detroit by 2.

LAL 91 Detroit 93 

ATS record: Road LAL 5-13 Home Detroit 11-8

In my opinion, the value play is Detroit +5.50. The Lakeshow is not a proven road ATS producer for 2010-2011.Maybe they run Detroit out of the palace, but I will take the home points and I will take my chances.

I am not claiming the fix is in or any vegas theory. If the line is shorter than one thinks it should be, its because the linesmakers know more than you (which is always the case).

Please describe how this is a good situation to bet on LA, other than on paper they should win.

If LA wins there will be far more haters in here saying I told you so and calling me an idiot than if Detroit wins congratulating me. Shows the character of people on this site wether they congratulate you or not......
