why is boston favorites on the road against denver?

sure boston has a better record but the road record isnt that great..

They are favored by 1 point. 

That's basically the same as a pick'em. 

The Celtics are 11-1 this season after a loss, and a perfect 11-0 after a loss since November 10th. The Celtics might also be interested in avenging their January 19th home loss to the Nuggets that dropped the Celtics to 20-1 at TD Garden.

But.....the Nuggets just lost at home because they couldn't get motivated to play hard against the Suns until they'd dug themselves a large enough hole (65-50 halftime deficit). Coach Malone said afterwards that a couple guys may have showed up for the game in "chill mode", and I agree with him completely. Jamal Murray promised afterwards that the Nuggets wouldn't do this again, that they'd bring more "positive energy" to their next game. He might be telling the truth, because this season the Nuggets are 4-0 at home after a home loss, winning those four games by 26, 18, 17, and 20 points.

I love home dogs that own great home records, but I'm not liking the Nuggets +2 over the Celtics.
