What will Phx do to avoid the #2 spot?

win out and hope Utah loses to Blazers Wednesday night (huge game) and win the #1 spot as they hold the tie breaker having swept the season series w/ Jazz OR tank remaining 4 games and let Clips pass them? The #2 most likely has to play a 7 game series against Lakers or Warriors so have to think Suns want to avoid that at all costs. Clips know this to and eventhough they could sleepwalk and win all 4 remaining games @ Tor @ Char @ Hou @ OKC look for Clips to shit the bed a big favs in at least one of those games probably Char to secure 3rd spot and avoid Lakers or Warriors..interesting in Suns play last 2 games at San Antonio, look for Phx and Coach Williams to gift Pops a game if Suns locked in Monty was VP of basketball Ops for Spurs, played for them to and will want to screw New Orleans over to boot...I see Clips and Suns losing as 2 big favs this week coming up!

with Jazz loss to Ws tonight they must win Wed hosting Blazers or Phx can catch them for #1 spot by going 3-1 in remaining 4 games...that Wed Jazz/Blazer game is huuuge

The end of the season is one of the most difficult times to bet because teams are battling (or tanking) for playoff position. Shady things happen and tough to tell or predict who will do what. 

I had the Suns against the Lackers Sunday. They did a no show. 

Ih8 I'd imagine 3 things are for sure: Jazz will desperately try to hold onto #1 and avoid #2 spot, Phx will try to jockey out of #2 spot, Clips will win just enough to secure #3 spot

if those scenarios are true then at some point we'll get Suns and/or Clips losing SU as big favs imo

I love this thread. It means the wheels are turning and your trying to figure an advantage to beat the books! Let me help if I can. Phoenix already tanked the game they needed to tank which was Sunday night against the Lakers. That ultimately set the Lakers up for the 6th seed which means Phoenix avoids them at #1 or #2 seed. Portland will finish the regular season 7th. Not sure what will happen in play in games. G State will finish 8th regular season. The Lakers have a cakewalk to 6th if they beat the Knicks tonight! Phoenix will beat GS tonight. Making it a must win for Utah tomorrow against Portland to retain 1 seed. Utah will get it done. Subsequently Phoenix will play Portland at home and beat them to Knock them into 7th place. The teams that will lose is Denver they want to avoid the three seed which will likely mean facing the Lakers. Look for Denver to lose at Charlotte tonight.

 Thanks for chiming in, good info and scenarios. If Lakers get #6 then that would mean they go 4-0 and Blazers would have to go 1-2 or 0-3 if my math is correct which means Port most likely loses at Utah tomorrow setting up Jazz to lock in top seed which would then allow Phx to throw a game in San Antonio which was my original premise w/ the Monty/Pops/New Orleans connection.

i dunno.. portland has a tougher schedule than the lakers. i think lakers find a way to make it to the 6th spot. people don't really wanna see the lakers beat down on a depleted gsw squad....id rather see lillard vs chef have a half court shootout lol

what makes you yall think Phoenix will beat the warriors tonight because of a better record? So now they just flip the switch and start busting ass because they been stinking up the joint. Last 5 games suns have played all they beat on was Cleveland - OKC twice - Knicks, ohh ?? tuff teams, Smfh

 I agree with the lakers getting #6.  media has been saying otherwise as a distraction.  they have knicks, rockets, pelicans, pacers.  blazers play at utah, at phoenix and denver.  two losses and lakers going 4-0 would have blazers 7th.

They definitely lose to either Pels or Indy. May even lose tonight. Should beat the rockets and that would put them at 2-2 to finish the season. That’s being realistic. That would not get them to the 6th seed.

The Suns are 6-1 ATS on Tuesdays and their is no reason to think they will not bounce back after the worst played game I can remember. Why Covers has not put up ref info yet???I do not know

 The Pels will be without Zion and Possibly Ingram. Indiana is the worst defensive team in the League your crazy if you think Caris Levert will beat a motivated Lebron and AD. The only obstacle they have is tonight. However have you seen tonight point spread. I’m sure people will be lining up to take NY Knicks ML plus money good luck to them
