How do we know Lebron's explanation isn't bullshit to cover up the fact he hates where he is.

I think he is frustrated with what he has around him.

You are taught from Pee-Wee league to be a good sport.  Poor Lebron.. he lost.  It was not supposed to lose....It's my right to go to the Finals..My name is Lebron James! Waa..Waa...Waa..

He took off that day because he dosen't want to hurt/alienate anybody (teammates or franchise).

Lebron James is NOT the reason why they lost that series. 

If you think it's all his fault, you obviously know jack-shit about basketball, and you should probably just give your money to charity because you won't win anything.

He's a young guy who has a lot of emotion and is a winner.  That was probably the worst day of his life.  I don't blame him ONE BIT for wanting to shut others out and take some time to mentally recuperate.

My mama told that if you don't have anything nice to say,  THEN DONT SAY SHIT.

It seems everybody would have preferred if he started speaking his mind AND THEN they could bash him for throwing his teammates under the bus.

The way he has handled his actions after that has been imature and classless !!

Since he didn't... at least take his ass to the PC, say 10 words "Congrats Magic. Catch me later, cant talk now. Sorry. Thanks."

Give me a break! The media will do anything they can to try and make a superstar look flawed. Who honestly gives a fuck if he left without saying anything. People that make more of it than it is need to go fuck themselves.

If he feel it isnt right to shake someone's hand after they just beat you then you shouldnt shake someone's hand after you beat them.. What a whiner.  Sure taking off like that doesnt hurt/alienate anybody(teammates or franchise). Yeah that probably doesn't draw attention to the fact that you are done with this team and franchise.

... but you may be right RickeM,  we got no need for morality, ethical behavior... shit like sportsmanship is overrated.
 
We glorify these athletes in spite of their actions... and then we wonder why armed 13 yr olds are more interested in stealin cars than playin the game.... for its intrinsic values.
 
If Lebron admits his error, I forgive him in a heartbeat. I always liked him. Liked the way he plays hard every game. I have praised those attributes that have put  in my pocket this year.
 
But if he doesnt... he's just another very rich, entitled, punk.

I never told u to F-yourself. I just hate that our country has become full of people who jump to conclusions and develop knee-jerk reactions/opinions based on suspect evidence.

Not only that, once they develop these opinions, they refuse to change them based on a preponderance of evidence.  (they develop an opinion, then they dig their head in the sand).

Its whats wrong our country, society and politics.       



(i'll give you credit.  Lebron could have/should have been MORE gracious in his conduct.  But I just don't think all the bashing and jumping to conclusions about his character are warranted)

All the celebrations him and his teammates had during games in the first two rounds were pretty low. I didn't see them once in the ECF and I haven't seen any other team or player do that.

I think the press (in this case) has every right to shed light on this behavior. This boy is a multi millionaire because of this sport. It's expected (and should be expected) that he set a positive example for the millions that idolize him. Its a responsibility he didnt ask for... but it comes w/ the position of highly paid and idolized-superstar. 
 
I repeat. All he's got to do (at some point... whenever it "dawns" on him) is  acknowledge that he didnt handle the defeat properly vis a vie his opponent and his fans.
 
Strike one was Sat.Night... he got a 2nd chance at "his" press conference Sunday, and whiffed badly (w/ his NYY hat)... 
 
...shit I'll forgive and forget even if he never fesses up, but he "shows" that he's wised-up in the future.  But for now, he deserves to be called out for his undisciplined, sore loser  punk-titude.

I'll do no more debating with Lebron apologists. My feelings have been made crystal clear.

No doubt he should have handled it better.     Maybe he will say something about it but it probably won't be till after the Finals.  Younger guys need time to "cool off".  The more he ages the more he will mature.

In my limited experience (im 24 Y.O.)  he's handled his success very well. .....






At least compared to Pacman Jones
