And what about the quarter-finals?
In fact we see even worse celebrations all year long. Football players do this all the time where they will celebrate and talk trash to the opponent. How many times in the nba do we see players hit 3's, and turn around and look right at the opposing bench and have some words to say. I'm done with this argument though. You seem to be just one of the sheep that buys into the media's portrayal of people.

Find ANY clip of ANY player in ANY professional American sport in ANY playoff game showboating like that less than a foot away from the other team’s bench in that type of situation.

    Go on. I’ll wait.

    “It happens all the time.”

“Ok, find me a clip then”

“I can’t find a clip because it happens all the time.”

After you proclaimed “it happens all the time” I challenged you to “find ANY clip of ANY player in ANY professional American sport in ANY playoff game showboating like that less than a foot away from the other team’s bench in that type of situation.”

Your response was “I can’t find a clip because it happens all the time.”

When the ridiculousness of your post was pointed out the only comeback you could muster was “you’re a joke. total joke.”

Please, kid, keep posting. You are fucking hilarious.

Just for fun and because it is interesting, here is a clip related to the previous clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCaLwqfMxLE&NR=1

This was a regular season game on 2/4/09.  I'd definitely argue this celebration was uncalled for since he went out of his way to step over Tayshaun Prince.

He made the shot and stepped over a player that was in his way lying on the ground.

Not exactly close to hanging up a swan pose for 5+ seconds while standing about 6 inches away from the other team’s bench.

    Good clip though.

This was a little closer because, like you said, he went out of his way to step over Prince.

But, of course, it’s the same guy.

Iverson looks directly at the Lakers bench after the shot and then emphatically steps over Tyronn Lue.  Again, I'm not interested in arguing the main point of this thread but this was clearly excessive.  I personally think it was much worse than Dwayne Wade holding his follow through by the Mavs bench and Lebron punching him in the chest.  However, I don't think the Iverson celebration was completely out of line either since it was somewhat subtle as well but it would have been funny if the 76ers would have lost.  As it turns out though, the 76ers won that game and in doing so handed the Lakers their first loss of the postseason and this clip has turned into a classic.

StraightShooter, you have to let this shit go.

JESUS CHRIST. You make up an argument and you can't see it the other way PERIOD.

What if Wade hit that 3 on the side of the arc and celebrated the same way? Would that be over the line as well? He happened to hit a tough 3 in front of their bench, to put the team on the verge of 2-0. This happens all the mother fucking time.

It is OVERBLOWN. PEOPLE ARE overreacting.

I am glad the Mavs were sparked by this as I'm rooting for them. That celebration however, wasn't anything that we have not seen before. Just like the link the guy posted. Yes, AI stepping over Lue isn't exactly the same as Wade putting his hands up but it's just as.

Why don't you get that? I hate the Heat since I'm a Celtics fan but that was not something out of proportion. Hitting a tough shot in front of opponent's bench and celebrating happens all the time.

Also, you said evenWade didn't want any of Lebron's celebration. You do not know that. Wade is the one who started it. If anything, I think Wade was 'ignoring' James to look 'cool'. The thing you do to signal 'yeah I'm the man'. That's the way I saw it. You obviously didn't and I understand that. You don't. You just don't see other peoples pov whatsoever.

It's pointless to even have a conversation with this guy. hutasadorn, just stop posting on this thread. The bottom line is, that guy is just so ignorant and call you wrong.

I’m no Iverson fan and God knows I’m not a Philadelphia sports fan, but I didn’t see that. It looked like he backed up into one of the Lakers players and instinctively turned to see who it was.

And even if he did what you’re claiming he did I cannot see how that’s the same (much less “much worse”) as what Wade did.

    To each his own.

A guy hits a 3 and then does a 5+ second swan pose 6 inches in front of the other team’s bench “all the mother fucking time”? Please, post some clips. Since it happens “all the mother fucking time” you should have no problem finding plenty of them.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of this or not, but last night was one of the greatest comebacks in finals history. Multiple Mavs players have said that celebration in front of their bench sparked the comeback. Guess what, that’s a story and will be talked about. Get over it.

I never claimed to know what Wade was thinking when Lebron started fake punching him. What I said was “Wade’s actions indicated…” That’s hardly a definite proclamation of someone’s personal thoughts.

But Lebron pulling THIS SHIT after the Wade 3 was made it even more classic...
