Who's talking about the finals?? The poster hutsadorn was agreeing with my post about these type of celebrations happening in all sports at all times! Now your trying to differentiate between finals and non-finals celebrations??? Is there a certain celebration ettiquette when it comes to the finals??? And is it different for the semi-finals? And what about the quarter-finals?
In fact we see even worse celebrations all year long. Football players do this all the time where they will celebrate and talk trash to the opponent. How many times in the nba do we see players hit 3's, and turn around and look right at the opposing bench and have some words to say. I'm done with this argument though. You seem to be just one of the sheep that buys into the media's portrayal of people.

Again, I'm not interested in arguing the main point of this thread but this was clearly excessive. I personally think it was much worse than Dwayne Wade holding his follow through by the Mavs bench and Lebron punching him in the chest. However, I don't think the Iverson celebration was completely out of line either since it was somewhat subtle as well but it would have been funny if the 76ers would have lost. As it turns out though, the 76ers won that game and in doing so handed the Lakers their first loss of the postseason and this clip has turned into a classic.

I’m no Iverson fan and God knows I’m not a Philadelphia sports fan, but I didn’t see that. It looked like he backed up into one of the Lakers players and instinctively turned to see who it was.
And even if he did what you’re claiming he did I cannot see how that’s the same (much less “much worse”) as what Wade did.
