Yep, they are all in for Howard.
I realize that Lakers won with Gasol and Bynum, but why is Orlando "excited" about the prospects of obtaining both of these 'flawed players?"
Gasol = Gasoft
and
Bynum = one injury away from being 'untradeable in the future"
I know the apparent answer is you got to get something for Howard now....but Gasol and Bynum does not excite me.
I actually like Lopez in New Jersey and if the Magic can satisfy another positional need with that deal and draft picks then D12 to the Nets seem better to me.![]()

Lopez is a better package than Bynum and Gasol?? Lopez has more flaws than both these players. Lopez was of the worst rebounders in the league for a starting center slash power forward. I could almost guarantee you that Lopez is considered just as soft as Gasol around the league.

There must be more than one Lopez in the league.
I may be getting the two confused.
But I recall both Lopez's are bangers and big bodies in the paint.
The big thing with the Nets deal is the DRAFT picks.
Teams rebuild with the draft....and that's clearly what the Magic will need to do.
Acquiring Gasoft and a limping Bynum will do nothing for the Magic this year or next year
At least with the Nets you get a young player...and DRAFT picks....and if the Magic keep pushing it...maybe the deal gets even sweeter.
When the Lakers are trying to GIVE anyone -- anything.....the GMs need to take a second look....because you best believe this deal would not be made unless they are getting the better end of the deal which in this case -- they clearly would.
