Pretty hard card today in my opinion. Taking Phoenix for a half bet (that's half a unit, as a unit is your normal betting amount).

I think Gortat and Carter have finally found a place in the Phoenix rotation, and the team is rolling. They don't play much defense, but Detroit is 25th in scoring in the NBA, so Phoenix should be able to just outscore them.

I did post a few weeks ago, complaining about the bad games I had bet after reading my favorite posters on the Forum. Bad picks; bad beat; bad mood.

Lesson learned: handicap your own games.

(I followed someone today on a tennis pick and lost 1 unit. Sometimes I think I will never learn.)

You know... I have to say that I have a few guys who read my picks regularly and post (aireent777; thatsagoodone; Mikado; hofil; Rod Steel from time to time), but my threads go to the back pretty fast.

On the other hand, if I post something cranky or controversial, it stays on the front page for two days and people I never hear of (like you) and have no idea of how good or bad I am (like you) will never forget me.

Same thing happens to the really popular posters. If they post a couple of winners they are king for a day, and get lots of

But if they come out with a strong recommendation and LOSE, their threads stay on the front page forever and thousands of people tell them not to post again; how fucked up the team is; and so on.
