How much current players are known for their post up game, including non-centers? Why do you think the post in a less important spot on the offense floor than in the 80's and 90's. The centers impact has become less on both ends of the floor. What about the zone? It allows team to crowd the lane much differently prior to the rule change.

It's real simple.  Regardless of what era you're in.

He has to win championships to get compared to Jordan.

People can make all kinds of excuses.  But he has to finish the deal.  If he can't, he doesn't deserve to be talked about in the same sentence as Jordan.

And we all know this is true.

True.  They just don't allow physical play any more.

I looked at EC rosters from the 88-89 season.   It was fun, and brought back some good memories.    It also reinforced my opinion that there were a LOT of great players in the EC back then.

    thomas,isiah
    dumars,joe

    rodman,dennis "the worm"   59.5 % fg (season)

    pierce,ricky
    sikma,jack
    krystowiak,larry
    pressey,paul

These rosters were so good, but someone will bring up that Jordan hit a couple game winners against Ehlo so the entire league sucked. But Lebron makes a game winner over Hedo Turkolu and the league is so much better now blah blah

Jordan never cried cuz he got every single call go his way every time.

He also had a team that without him would go to the conference finals and was a foul call away from GOING TO THE FINALS without him.

Cleveland is the worst team of all time without Lebron. They would literally get blown out by 40 points if Lebron wouldn't play.

Hey, how did Miami do with 2 HOF players,a  stacked roster and an all time great GM this year without Lebron?

Miami was actually playoff bound and competing for a top 5 seed before Bosh got diagnosed with heart condition and missed the entire second half of season

Actually it was blood clots for Bosh which forced him to only play in 44 of 82 games

Yup it was all cuz of Bosh..... Miami sucked with or without him. LOL. Their roster without Bosh was still nice and they feckin suck balls. Coach Spo is a great coach lol. Riles getting exposed too.

Also the hand checking argument is the weakest shiit I ever heard. Lebron is a premier top notch defender. You think anyone is doing anything on him if hes allowed to hand check his opponent? It goes both ways. And no hand checking isn't going to stop him.

Miami's roster without Bosh was nice this year?  .  Uh no it wasn't.  Yeah Chalmers and Birdman were tearing it up haha.  You called him a HOF player and now act like he isn't anything.   Can't argue both sides.  Not even sure what you are saying about hand checking.

I agree Kobe in his prime was an incredible player.  Not as good as Jordan but he was one of the all-time greats IMO.

LeBron has won 2 championships with 2 all-stars, Bosh and Wade.  One of those championships he should have lost-Gonibli got fouled.

Jordan won time, and time again.  Championships after championships.  He would finish games over, and over, and over again.  You just gave him the ball and he'd turn it on when it counted most.

Only those that are young don't know.  But, that's part of the charm and ignorance of being young.  If you saw him, you know I'm right.  He was the baddest player on the planet-and nobody could touch him.

well....thats wat espn and magazine covers tell you is the truth...if thats wat you wanna base your belief system on then go ahead,be the brainless sheep that 98% of the public are

most folk dont have the faintest idea wat the truth is in any walk of life these days.
of course winning is important, thats obvious....but to sit there like a moron and say "just win, shut up i dont wanna hear any excuses...just win" is excusing yourself from actually thinking, being flexible and taking various factors and circumstances into account wen trying to form an argument.....but hey, most people arent real big fans of "thinking" these days, rite??takes way too much effort..much easier just to yell out slogans and motto's..."just win!!!!"
so,i guess you'll try and tell people that barkley, ewing, karl malone/stockton,mullin,wilkins were all short of great because they cudnt win,rite??...no excuses remember, just win!!!

if even jordan himself was given a roster of jim mcilwaine, shawn bradley, smush parker, kwame brown, austin rivers he aint winning shiiit...no excuses remember,JUST WIN!!!!....wat a feckin idiot.

That said, I think this is LeBron's greatest year.  It's just too bad for him Vareja, Love, Irving all go down.  And JR Smith and Shumpert were a disaster last game.

Yep, just win.  That defines greatness.   Especially in basketball, where only 5 guys are on the floor.  Soccer and football you can't win with one great player.  Barry Sanders knows this. lol

You're under 30, right?  I see it all the time-young kids think they know it all.

Yep, just win.  That defines greatness.   Especially in basketball, where only 5 guys are on the floor.  Soccer and football you can't win with one great player.  Barry Sanders knows this. lol

You're under 30, right?  I see it all the time-young kids think they know it all.

never met you obviously but am left in no doubt watsoever that your brain is very, very limited and incapable of certain reasoning and cognitive abilities....way to not address wat i just posted.

i am most definitely over the age of 35 and saw a lot of jordan,he is the best...never said he wasnt and never wud....up till this point.i remain flexible and open to a change of opinion in the future..thats probably where i differ from you...youve had a mantra repeated to you so many times youre just too stupid to think for yourself and believe anything else.thats conditioning at its worst rite there.

i also look at jordans career thru rose-tinted glasses, just like you and everyone else with a nostalgic viewpoint...but am also realistic enuff to move on and accept change and also understand that jordan was incredible for sure...but no he wasnt perfect and no i wont shut down any conversation automatically that compares lebron to him.

yes thats correct,a player can be better than another and yet a conversation can take place comparing their abilities and also speculating over wat mite take place going forwards in the future.
