Michael Porter, Jr. is a 6’ 10” box. I fucking hate him. That sissy missed all six of his 3-point tries in the 2nd half. Alright, I’m starting the We Hate Michael Porter, Jr. Club. Who’s with me?
Paging Mr. B....for the FINALS
I’m also starting the We Hate Haywood Highsmith Club. I bet on the Celtics in Game 5 of the previous series, and at halftime with the Celtics leading 61-44, I bet on the Celtics +130 moneyline. Then Highsmith, who had scored 2 points in the 1st half, made a bunch of shots that didn’t matter and finished with 15. He killed my halftime bet. Well, that garbage time scoring machine did it to me again. At halftime with the Nuggets leading 59-42, I bet on the Nuggets moneyline at even money. Then Highsmith scored 12 pointless points in the 2nd half to again shoot me down.
Don’t mind me. It’s just another winning night that leaves me in a rage.

I’m with you Mr. Bator. We can discuss it through dinner.
Dinner’s on me. Delmonicos?
Name the time and date your available and I’ll take care of the rest.

Puzzling. If we got moosed on the Denver cover it would’ve fell on this stiff.
Bator I had the same 2H play and watched in utter disbelief each time Hightower scored. Freaking bum.

I hear ya. That was way too close for comfort at the end until that Serbian rookie fumbled the ball out of bounds…

The Nuggets could’ve overcome that 14-0 run that bridged the 3rd and the 4th, but they decided near the end of the 3rd that they’d put in enough effort for one night. I’m disgusted with them.
First Finals game in the half century history of the franchise AND ten days to get psyched up…..and still we couldn’t get a 48-minute effort from the Nuggets. I’m still shaking my head.
Well, now that we know that under no circumstances can we trust the Nuggets to play a complete game without falling into inexcusable lulls that lead to terrible shots, I’m not interested in backing them in Game 2. But I’m telling you right now that if they win Game 2, we will have a layup next Wednesday on the Heat at home in Game 3. That won’t even be gambling.

Got scary towards the end. They bomb a 3 at the end and Nuggets run out the clock and our spread is dead. Luckily they didn’t do that.

BallingLikeNE, I was so steaming over the negligent treatment of my 2nd half money that I never became properly concerned about the original -8.5 bet.

Not nearly as much has been mentioned about what the Nuggets have done in their Game 1s. They led the T-Wolves at halftime by 11 and won by 29. They led the Suns at halftime by 17 and won by 18, and then they led the Lakers at halftime by 18 but won by only 6. That last result should ensure that no matter how well the Nuggets play tonight in the 1st half, they won't slack off in the 2nd half like they did against the Lakers.
Haha, WRONG! Bator, you SUCK! ![]()

About my Nuggets in 6 bet...I've said both before and throughout these playoffs that no Western conference opponent was going to go into Denver and win. I don't expect the Heat to score a victory at Ball Arena either, but given their outstanding 6-4 playoff road record, I can't rule it out. If the Nuggets win both games at home, I also can't rule out that the Heat can win both of their games at home. I actually hope they do because a 2-2 series heading back to Denver will set me up beautifully to cash with the Nuggets in 6 games. Up until the conference finals sweep of the Lakers, the Nuggets were being derided as a bad road team, but they're not. I think they've proven that by totaling up the second highest number of road wins (4) behind the Heat's 6. I believe the Nuggets will win at least one road game in this series, too. If that doesn't happen in Games 3 and/or 4, then it will happen in Game 6.
After watching Game 1 and processing what happened, I think what I wrote above sounds even smarter than it did when I typed it six hours ago. I'm rooting for the home team in every game of this series until we reach Game 6.

Their is no overemphasizing what tonight means to the Denver Nuggets. The current group of players and coaches have been around for only a small portion of those 47 years, but they more or less know the history. Their opponent in these Finals is one of those 7 franchises that's won more than once. There is no doubt in my mind which team wants this more. The Nuggets aren't going to be flat after being off since the 22nd and they aren't going to be rusty. They're going to be ready, and I expect to see them pull away after the 1st quarter if not during the 1st quarter.
It's like reading poetry, is it not? Except even more beautiful.

Denver at home for sure...
I've got Miami winning only one at home...
Not sure which one...
Lean Miami 1st H game 2 ...followed by Denver 2nd half comeback blowout ...
Which, if it happens leads me to Denver first half game 3...
Always thinking ahead like a chess match

@MrBator
I agree. I had him over 15.5 points and O 2.5 3's. thought it was a winner but he couldn't make a shot He took their last shot of the game from past the line ,could have won both on that shot but NO. done betting his props. I will keep betting Jokers Assists he is the best passing big man I have seen!
