USA economy is still in a bad state after the war...gotta get the money back somehow and sports is one of biggest revenue of money worldwide. Doesn't surprise me at all knowing vegas etc run scripts for these types of games on a weekly basis. I mean if the economy isn't stable and making money how do the bookies expect to make their money. Sad truth of life unfortunately and am sure players know all to well about fixes.

As a person who earns his hard-earned money gambling, I completely understand the anger towards the outcome of this game.  Blaming the refs for this fix is just illogical, as they would have never let Chicago have the lead late.  That being said, George Karl needs to be investigated for such a bizarre timeout, as LOGIC only dictates that since the decision was void of any common sense, it almost had to do with the spread.

Chances of the refs in this game affecting the pointspread : Slim to none; George Karl working with Vegas or some gambling syndicate: Very possible. 

Really? I think your statement is preposterous.  It doesn't have to be 1 second left, or down by 4, maybe they are only down 2.  Use your head man.  Fact of the matter is, it's good to practise plays where you need a quick basket, not much time left and in clutch....come on man...

 

Also, to those calling a fix...it's getting old and pathetic.

Rostos I really doubt that was for practice. They can run these 1 second plays a hundred times in a real practice, with a real defense defending.

didn't have a bet on this game but I love it when people say "I follow the NBA all the time and this kind of stuff always happens" gee, I wonder why?

WHY THE F### did they take the timeout.....? Give me one reason? TO cover the spread?

I remember watching a game last season and a very similar situation occured.......A team was down by 4-5 with 2 secs left and they had an ex coach commentating, i forgot his name, really old guy who last coached the Grizzlies.....he commentates for ESPN, thats it, Hubie Brown........the commentator asked him why did they the call a timeout and in his words he said they are doing this to practice for when  they are down by 1 or 2 with similar time then they are all on the same page for the play.......That was his words.......

Enough, end of story

Yeah practice with 2 secs left down by 4-5 pts.  The defense is really going to defend.....

If thats not the case, Nuggets coach should be investigated, cause there is no RATIONAL explanation for the timeout.......If they went for the 3 pointer and tried to draw contact, then fair enough, but they went for the lob........

Coach karl obviously backed his team. in the huddle i can imagine him saying "guys were down by 4 the spread is +3 in our favor we need a basket to win the sides"

how can you be practicing a play for a situation where youre down by 2 when youre actually down by 4. the defense in this case is up by 4 so they are playing nothing like how they would play if it was a 2 point game. your theory that denver was practicing a play makes no sense. the bulls were gonna let them have the layup so denver learned absolutely nothing about how well their play will work

They have caught people, had them admit to it, and put those people in prison for doing it. You're simply ignorant if you don't believe that a ref change the outcome of the game . We have the facts, and people still choose to deny it.
