teams in that situation know they cant win.....They take the timeout to practice playes with 1 sec left on the clock, so if they are in a situation down by 1 or 2 with 1 sec left, they simply practice it.........

luckily i bought the .5 point for the push but that right there is just absolutely fucking ridiculous

Sorry, it was definitely on time, by half a second at least.  Lousy way to lose, but not fixed IMO.
