Mak, do you think the Pistons will be at all inspired tonight by Kevin Garnett's incredibly insulting "cancer patient" remark directed at Charlie Villanueva the last time the Celtics were in the Palace?

Lakers have already lost 4 in a row earlier this season. If the Lakers had the 'heart of a champion' they'd show up in big games, something they haven't really done this season...


I LOVE posts like these because it actually shows that you guys read what I write and care about my analysis, you are the individuals who cap games for yourselves and are just looking for another opinion.  That is perfect and that is why I am here.

I should have been more clear, correct me if I am wrong but that unit I mentioned above has never lost 4 in a row. Kobe, Pau, Lamar, Ron and Drew together have not lost 4 consecutive games.  Just like "together" the Boston Celtics have never lost a playoff series.  As for the "heart" I miss wrote.  It should state "pride" as the title does.  The Lakers do not have heart, drive or motivation for another title.  The do however have massive egos and tonight I am betting purely on pride.  That is risky to do in the NBA, but I will take my chances tonight.  Best of luck buddy, thanks for the post.

great to hear......Sydneys terrific in January......festival of Sydney month - plenty of entertainment and great beach weather.......hope you get a bit of free time to enjoy yourself!

thought the wiz put there heart out to end that streak in houston mak and just gassed it in the last 3 minutes . i can see a flat effort from them tonight based on that hard loss the other night in houston  , just my 2 cents on this one and how i landed on the pacers

Oh shit, that's right.  I had forgotten about that.  In all honesty I know individuals always look down upon you for looking into these strange nuances when it comes to capping but you could not be more spot on.  These little things make a difference especially in the national basketball association.  I love how to delve into games with such degree, honestly makes me want to do a little bit more when it comes to research.  You are an asset to this website which honestly does not have a lot of assets left.  I always appreciate hearing from you, especially on my threads.

In all honesty I think KG did say "cancer patient"  Not as he stated later "cancerous to your team"  KG is a very emotional player and let the situation get the best of him.  I do think that Charlie V and only Charlie V will be motivated to take it to KG....but what could he really do one on one against him?  KG is the best half-court defender in the NBA.  I don' think the Pistons will actually care as a team.  Nevertheless, if you have a feel for the Pistons I say go for the spread.  I have a gut feeling they come to play tonight.  All the Pistons need is to care about the game even a minimal amount to succeed, they have all the talent in the world, they just lack mental fortitude.

Hey Bator , I know it wasn't directed at me but you have to figure the firestorm around those comments will probably motivate the Celtics as well, who we all know enjoy each other and have great chemistry. Could we see a little bit of an effort bump from the Pistons? Probably, but you know as well as I do that this DET team is a toxic atmosphere and quite frankly, I'm not sure the guys really give a fuck about one another like the Celtics do.
