Cal, no write up? no reasoning why you are taking the Magic to win by 5? there is no home court advantage in reality. BOS plays awesome on the road; they have already won 2 in ORL, why not a 3rd?
they needed 2 lucky 3 balls in OT to win in game 4.
it smells and feels like the Magic play is a pure gut and feel play. i do not see any statistical evidence that suggests the chances the ORL winning by 5 is high enough to wager on.
Stats vs Situation.
Although you can make a case for either team statistics/trend wise, I'm looking past that and looking at the situation. Orlando is not going to fold. We seen this in game 4 when they had every reason to. This team showed grit and pulled out a road victory despite almost choking away the game by giving up a 7 pt lead with 2 mins left in regulation. Now they have given themselves some hope and they get to play the next game in the comfort of home. Sure Boston has won 2 games in Orlando, but that doesn't mean "there is no homecourt advantage." That is silly to think that. In fact, you can argue that the chances of Orlando giving up another loss at home is slimmer as they've already given up 2. I believe home court will be the difference tonight and the deeper we get into the playoffs the more of an advantage it becomes. I know Boston is great on the road, but let's not forget that Orlando has won 38 games at home. I expect Vince and Rashard to become more aggressive in this game....Van Gundy even stated that Vince must be more aggressive and they will put him in situations where he can be. Also, the role players, specifically Reddick and Pietrus play better at home. I see Orlando putting together a complete game and win by DD. And don't forget Boston with only 1 day rest is 23-32 ATS while Orlando is 29-16. GL on your play. If your numbers suggest Boston is the play, go with it.
