Seems odd how bad road teams are playing.  As if the players now realize that no matter what they do the refs and TV need a long series to generate ratings.  Road players just quit and know they do not have a chance so why hussle.

NO played a great game. They just don't have it to go into SA and win - yet. However, if it wasn't for Chris Paul playing the most amazing game I've EVER been witness to, this would have been a slaughter.

I won't soon forget the sense of utter dread I felt at the end of halftime and early in the 3rd quarter as I continued reading through threads (not just here at Covers) and kept finding bettors in love with the team I had unloaded on.  What an absolutely sick feeling, watching the 3rd quarter, praying the Hornets wouldn't cave under the weight of so many horrible gamblers, then seeing the complete collapse in the 4th.  Normally, I make money off of those situations and laugh, but this time, it happened to a team I believed in and it was too awkward to hurry up and decide to throw some back on the Spurs.
 
Last night, jlb442 had a big play on Detroit +4.5.  After he posted it, the line everywhere rose to +5.  I wrote in his thread that whenever I made a bet only to see the line get even better after I bet it, I knew my bet was toast.  That happened tonight, as I had most of my bet on the Hornets +7 only to see the line rise to +7.5 during the day.  I was hoping that maybe this time that wouldn't hold true, but it did.  I seldom get stuck with a bad number, but when I do, it's guaranteed .

Jeopardy, you are a fool if you really think that that is a strong trend. The fact that it is Thursday has very little to do with anything - it is just a coincidence. There is absolutely no logical evidence to support a claim saying that a team doesn't play well on a particular day. That is just dumb.

I was on the Spurs. I will still tease you next week if you post another goofy trend like that. A win is still a win I guess, nice job.

Bator: Tough loss I'm sure you will get it back... just I feel the spurs are finally doing what they should have done in the start of the series which is put Bowen on Peja and force paul and peja to do all of the scoring. If I'm the spurs I don't mind Paul scoring at will because not like he is playing any defense on Parker and then Spurs will continue to get the wide open threes off of Duncan's double team. This series is going to 7 games imo.

It was do or die for SA tonight and they fought and won.  I mean - This is the game they HAD TO WIN.  As was stated before, I believe this was the only game we could maybe expect them to win.  The rest Hmmmmm.  I still believe are NO's.

It all depends on what kind of adjustments Byron Scott makes. He has to realize Peja is not gonna get any open looks so they need to do a better job getting him open off of screens and if I were them I would not double team Duncan anymore...those wide open threes that spurs had in games 1 and 2 were just not going in but now they are falling..

 Games like this crush teams, especially young teams like the Hornets. Seems almost cliche, but I'm not sure it is time to pass the torch just yet.

 your post up above where you mention that you bet new orleans at +7 and after you made the bets the line moved up to 7-, you go on to say you thought your bet would be toast. Now why as a pro bettor would the line moving opposite of your bet bother you?   I would think that you would be happy that more people were betting san ant, making you feel better about your new orleans bet, not worse.
Just a little confused by that statement.
