Before the season you could get +250 / +350 for them to win the Championships that means that bookies think they have like 25-29% chance of winning the NBA Championships, and they knew that band-waggoners would pound them so they set the line a little lower. So bookies believed that; Miami has about 20% of taking the championship this season. So if you think that Miami is a flop team if they dont manage to win the championship, then you are dumb.

So wrong it's not even funny.  You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.  The heat have been favorites the past two seasons to win the title and they still are.  Maybe turn on Espn and listen to every analyst who still has them winning it all.  Maybe look at the futures odds pre-season and throughout the season and playoffs and you will still see for the most part the heat have always been the favorites to win the title.  I did not say it is easy because it isn't that doesn't change the fact that the odds have said for the majority of the last two seasons they have been favorites to win it all.  So by saying heat will win it all that prediction is not really going out on a limb.  nice try though

You may have been able to get a decent line on them to win it before the season but bottom line they still had the worst odds of any nba team because they were the favorites.  I believe before the season you could even grab the Spurs at 5 to 1 much better odds and see how they have rolled thru the season.  The public slurps miami wake up.  Just look at Heat index on espn.  What other team do you see on espn with their own section like that?  I'll wait...

First NBA game you watched?

Where were you when Lebron was so NOT clutch?

I've been following NBA for many years and I saw the Heat lose so many times because Lebron wouldn't do jack when they are down in the 4th qtr.

Here you go here are some pre-season odds on 2012 NBA champions.  You will probably tell me Heat were not the favorites still.

https://www.lasvegassportsbetting.com/Odds-to-win-2012-NBA-Championship%C2%A0_P4186.html

Kind of mad I didn't take the spurs they were actually 25 to 1.  Wow would that look good about now.

Blind is a good name what are U watching??? ,Who cares what he did LEBRON in the past .This year he is better conditioned better scorer better closer , better mentally.     hes becoming the player that alot of the haters prayed he wouldnt become.

He still dont have the killer shoot first Im the man like Kobe ,but overall passing, playing away from the ball , defensivly assisting he is the best overall player in the NBA today

Did Lebron hit the game winning shot?  Clutch?

I don't think I was watching the same game.

What people like you dont understand is that clutch has multiple meanings. Just because he doesnt hit a buzzer beater doesnt mean he isnt clutch. Being down 2-1 on the road is a clutch situation. Dropping 40-18-9 in that situation is clutch. Boohoo, he didnt hit a buzzer beater. Boohoo he missed 4 of his 16 FTs... "MJ would never have done that." MJ also played in an era where the best player was Larry Bird, a white player. Is that a joke? Dont get me wrong, MJ was amazing and so clutch, but he also had no competition and also didnt have to play 43 min a game. SO many ppl hate on LeBron in this media era because he "doesnt hit the big one." how about you suck on his big one and give some respect for once considering hes the best player in the game AND PROVING IT. dueces

You guys should worry about your personal lives and how to make it better for you and your family. Lebron is never going to go broke and doesn't have to worry about his bills. So what i he doesn't win, your sorry asses have to still wake up in the morning and work for $10 an hour while he's deciding what color Bentley he wants!!! Same bs in this forum everyday about lebron I'm not a heat fan but I'm actually rooting for the guy to succeed!!! It's easy to be a hater no one ever says says anything nice!!! Un fucking real

So noone should be comparing anybody to someone that a distinhuhed panel "annointed" the best athlete of all time

That's why I when folks try to compare Kobe to MJ...b/c Kobe is not in the same league with those other greats in other sports that MJ was annoited as the true   GREATEST of all time!!!

That being said....LBJ is writing his own history...it will not eclipse MJ....but in my opinion this is where he is heading and it is in an area that no other nba player has been before

1.   He will score more points...grab more rebounds...dish more assists...block more shots...and steal more balls than any SMALL FORWARD in nba history.......will go down as best SF in NBA history

2.  He will have over half of the top 10 most efficient seasons in NBA history (efficiency rating)...he already has at least 4 of the top 10 most efficienct seasons in nba history

3.   He has already won more KIA NBA player of week and month awards than anyone in NBA history (in fairness to MJ...in his time this was player of month and it was for both conferences...in Kobe's era this move to be a conference award and was also given out weekly...STILL....LBJ has outperformed everyone from 1996 forward by winning this honor more than anyone else....and this ### is still growing)

4.   Historically speaking....in my opinion

LBJ will pass Kareem and be all time leading scorer....his shot does not look pure...but he scores on par with Durant..Kobe...and Melo and is consistently the #2, #3 or #4 scorer in the league and has been a steady scorer in the NBA since Age 18...(KD started at age 19)

LBJ will pass Magic and other greats in career assists...I think he will finish in the top 5 in NBA in career assists...which is impressive...he is a small forward

LBJ will also finish in the top five in career steals...which is impressive..again, he is a small forward

Everyone knows about the 'chase down blocks' a phrase that was created to descibe what he does on a regular basis which requires speed, athleticism, timing and skill

So Yes...MJ is the greatest of all time.....for Basketball and all sports.....but LBJ will leave a significant imprint on the game "statistically" when his career is all said and done.

How many titles will he have, "statistically"?

Before the season you could get +250 / +350 for them to win the Championships that means that bookies think they have like 25-29% chance of winning the NBA Championships, and they knew that band-waggoners would pound them so they set the line a little lower. So bookies believed that; Miami has about 20% of taking the championship this season. So if you think that Miami is a flop team if they dont manage to win the championship, then you are dum

Are you kidding me?? lmfao, did u even watch basketball when MJ played? no defense?!? this was at a time when defense was a key principle in basketball. Mutombo, David Robinson, Mourning, Rodman, Barkley, Shaq, Malone, Pippen... etc the list goes on. these were all defensive studs. Nowadays you have guys that are just pure offense, that slack and walk back down the court. Oh and larry Bird would still be in the top 5% of players right now if he was playing. and Im pretty sure Steve Nash has won two straight MVPs, then missed his third in a row by another WHITE player named Dirk. Idiot... just cuz your white, doesnt mean u cant play basketball.

agree 100%.  Some of these kids on this site have no clue on the history of the NBA.  This dude really said MJ played against no competition.  Hey kid do some research on this team called the 92" Dream Team which is considered the greatest team of all time in any sport.  Then tell me jordan played against no competition.  Unreal the idiots on this site.  The 80's and 90's NBA was the golden era of the NBA in which the best basketball was played.  Today there is virtually no competition or great team which is why you see a different champion every year.  There are no great teams anymore like their used to be with the dynasty teams of the 80's and 90's.

Agree on athleticism.  I'm talking about basketball skill, fire, and competition.  This era comes up way short in those aspects compared to the 80's and 90's.  I don't pin that all on the players though.  Game is officiated so differently now.  They don't allow for the same type of physical basketball.

Lebron is a tremendous player and the best athlete we have seen since a young mj though.  Just saying as far as the other intangibles and winning he comes up short.

Hey Everybody, Lebron can't do everything. The whole world and the sports media wants him to be the chef, the hostess, the waiter, the bartender, the general manager and the customer eating the food. You can't do it all. Lebron job is to carry the team through the game and wade job is to close the game and seal the deal. Everybody wants Lebron to be Jordan and Pippen. They were two separate people with two separate roles.

Some people do like to go overboard I agree.  I think that's just because of the constant media attention he gets without actually winning a title yet for being as great as he is.  I agree he is best overall player but to get to that next level he obviously needs to win one.  People that are old enough to remember will remember that Jordan received much of the same scrutiny before he started winning.  People said scoring champion will never be a winner etc. he was too selfish blah.

As for bron being a stand up family guy I'm not sure how you can make that statement without knowing him personally.  As you know athletes public image is often very different from how they really are (see Tiger woods, MJ, etc).

Lebron is a tremendous player and the best athlete we have seen since a young mj though.  Just saying as far as the other intangibles and winning he comes up short.
[/Quote no one matches up to mj , that isnt the point, the point is lebron is the most complete player in todays game. people just like to jump on board when this guy comes up short. its almost like they enjoy it. the truth is other than a stupid press conference[which did generate tons of money for charity]. lebron is a stand up family guy who cant be sruitnized for anything hes done on or off the court even when he came into the league as a teenage kid

You do not read what im saying. YES, the heat were favored over all other teams, but NOT if you compare the Heat vs. rest of the league. This means, bookies still think that there is a much higher chance for all the other teams to win the Championship than for the Heat to do. When you look into it, you will realize that with +250 / +350 it means that bookie believe they have just about 20% chance of winning the championship. Lets say these 20% didnt hit, then it doesnt make you a disaster of a team.

People think its easy to win the championship and Heat are horrible if they dont.
