just hear me out, i know only 6% of teams in history down 0-2 have come back to win, so about 1 in 16 or so, but this laker team is not the typical team to be down 0-2 like the other 94% who could not come back from it, they are more like the 6% who did come back
basically the same laker team that won back to back titles and back to back to back western conf titles
they will play with everything theyve got in gm 3 and most likely win as underdogs
then the pressure slowly shifts to mavs in gm 4, and if the mavs feel pressure, they usually lose
the lakers take gm 4 in dallas and now it's 2-2
or the lakers take game 6 in dallas when they're down 3-2 and force a game 7
the lakers are FAR from finished. i am not a laker fan, i am a just a fan of being fair and partial, and this laker team is probably the best team ever to be down 0-2
they can still win the series and their chance is way way better than 6%

I'm curious how many teams came back from 0-2 when those two games were home games. Big difference being where the celtics are and where the lakers are.

This series reminds me of the Houston Vs Dallas series a few years ago. Houston steals two games in dallas before losing the next 2 at home and eventually losing out 4-3.

Remember the 94 rockets? They lost the first two games in Phoenix and went on the road down 2-0 and won the series in 7 games. The 93 bulls did it, but they lost the first two on the road against the Knicks.
I'm a die-hard Laker fan, but I must admit that this a very steep hill to battle back from. They are not playing anywhere near their best basketball at all right now.
All about the chase

I've been thinking about that series a lot. Good point.

Dallas has a team that matches up very well height-wise with the Lakers and this is the #1 reason why Gasol is struggling. Also Fisher has been neutralized too. While Phil Jackson has all the championships he is being drastically out coached. Teams that fastbreak the Lakers beat the Lakers and that's the Mavericks #1 emphasis.

i think overall Dallas has the best bench in the playoffs ..but lal have a lot of pride ...also a lot of money riding on milking as many games out of these playoffs as possible ..remember this is theatre entertainment ; back against the wall comeback [hero] time ..look for refs to controll these games more to keep them close [rigged ?? no ;but controlled for ratings yes ].. have to go with lakers ;celtics ; memphis and atlanta ..if i am right ...in this round ..good luck everyone ..i hope everybody makes money even if i am wrong ..[ for favs to cover ..not sure ] only to win

gridironguy, with all due respect, on the subject of the Lakers' chances in this series, you are detached from reality.

But with the wear and tear of a team that has played an extra two months of basketball in each of the last three springs. In recent days, and again last night following the loss, the Lakers have been questioned about being tired and now they're starting to admit that it's true.

The Lakers always seem to win a road playoff game when they really need to, and while I think they'll give an honest effort in Game 3, I expect them to come up short again. You know a team is having chemistry issues when they're publicly speaking about their chemistry issues.
