I don't know about the rest of you, but, I can't stand the way the NBA staggers these games out... Wait from last Saturday to Thursday for Game 1, now wait from Thursday to Sunday for Game 2. I know it's all for TV purposes anyway, but, I just can't stand it.

With the playoff format 2-3-2, Lakers must win the 2 first home games or be an uncomfortable position. I look for them to win and cover game 2 easily as well and continue to make a statement, even if the Magic get over their stage fright.

Congrats on your Lakers being in the finals!!!!  I talked some shit on your last thread and I still think that a Clev. vs. Lakers final would have been historic.  Lebron vs. Kobe is what everyone (even though they might not admit it) wanted to see.  The Cavs just match up like shit against the Magic and just couldn't get it done.  MJ, couldn't get it done without Pippen, and James still doesn't have his Pippen.  The Lakers looked great in game 1 and if they keep up their intensity this should be an easy series.   I won big on game 1 and have already taken your lakers for game 2, buying 1/2 a point.  Good luck, and I have now removed my foot from my mouth about talking shit to you earlier.

Very, VERY nice! That's when it was REALLY "Showtime"! Damn those were some great teams...I think without question those Laker squads in the 80's would have killed this years version. AMAZING basketball they played!
