One more point that people overlook -- LBJ is only 24.....he still needs a legitmate all star on his team (sorry folks Mo Williams was customed made an all star by LBJ) that demands a double team and can be an all star even if not playing with LBJ (Kobe had Shaq and Gasol) MJ had Pippen and Rodman....even D Wade had Shaq too

LBJ scores more pts, gets more rebs, dishes out more ASSISTS (true measure of a teammate) grabs more steals and blocks more shots than Ko Me.

What happened to all the hype about how good Cleveland's OTHER players are this year and how deep of a team they are? What happened to that? I can remember hearing that all season and as late as literally days ago... What happened? Are they not the SAME team we've been hearing about all season and throughout the playoffs? Not a knock on you...I'm just confused as to how the thinking has changed so quickly. I guess NOTHING is EVER LeBron's fault.

Everybody knows Kobe deserved it on more than one occasion...he was simply trumped in a few different years by other players who had GREAT seasons for one year and had better teams (Duncan, Nash, etc.). I think if you did an MVP award for the DECADE, over the past 10 years, Kobe would win the MVP OF THE DECADE award hands down. He has easily been the best and most consistent player in the NBA over the past DECADE.

Amazing how you call him KoME, but, the reason his stats are lower is simple...becasue over the course of the season he has deferred to his teammates A LOT! Also, Kobe is not relied on as much (most of the time during the regular season) as LeBron is by the Cavs. LeBron has to do more while Kobe does not.

In a game 2 in the finals Kobe made a shot like lamebron's buzzer beater- and then they lost the series and the next 3 game vs Detroit. I can see the exact same thing happening to Cleveland vs Orlando.
Kobe's done EVERYTHING Lamebron has done except getting swept in the finals and being the #1 draft pick, but Lamebron hasn't come close to what Kobe has done.

LeBron over the course of the season and probably 40-50 blowout wins...he was the MVP, he put up some sick numbers and he certainly deserved it. In my eyes, to say somebody is the MVP and to say somebody is "The Best" are two totally different things...like I said, he put up the MVP stats, BUT, he is not "The Best" because of his folding under pressure: his brick FT's when the game is on the line, his airball 3-pointers when the game is on the line, his terrible turnovers on key possessions when his team needs a bucket late in the game, etc., etc., etc...
UNTIL LeBron can get past this mental hurdle of CHOKING and FOLDING under pressure...he is NOT "The Best", and UNTIL he can overcome that he is NOT better than Kobe overall and should not even be given anything remotely close to an MJ comparison. That's why Kobe is always compared to MJ...they are both deadly, lethal CLOSERS, and they are both CLUTCH when it's all on the line!

Don't think for one second that winning a title is not a team effort. The Orlando Magic edge over the cavs and eventual and in my opinion inevitable defeat of the Cavs does not reveal that LBJ needs to change his game which is already at a MVP level.....it reveals the weaknesses that exists on the Cavs and their roster.......quite frankly, they are developed to take out the Magic
But, lets flip the script, are you implying that Kome can win w/o the Ariza steals -- I think Ariza even hit some timely threes in the 4th (Cavs players are clanking threes) also Gasol is giving LA more in the post that all Cavs post players combined

Not "frustrated" at all...like I said, I could really care less about MVP awards. I'm not one of these people that's big on that, I'm more about winning games and winning Championships. Sure, I do like to see him win it and I feel there is no doubt he deserved it last year, but, no big thing for me.
So you say we can't go by the "MVP OF THE DECADE" because LeBron hasn't played a decade yet...but, that wasn't even my point. What I was saying was directly related to you saying he's only won 1 MVP award, which of course is a fact. So then my point was that he might only have 1 MVP award, but, it's clear that he has been the MVP over this past decade. Now as for LeBron, there is no doubt that as long as he stays healthy he SHOULD be the MVP of this next decade.

Seriously, Kome throws up shot after shot after shot....interesting that you used the word defer to his teammates...why didn't you say make the teammates better...why can't he run pick and roll BB and consistently make the pass to set up a teammate....why is his monster game always 40 points and 1 assist (or maybe 2 assists)....thats why he is Kome to me...becuase it is about him getting the stats and him taking the shots....I think even Phil said something to that affect in his book when he spoke about Kome's well.....you all know...obsession with MJ (give me a break)
Kome did not always have the squad that he has now.....with shaq...without Shaq...without Shaq/Before Gasol...and now with Gasol...Kome's game has been consistent...high on points low on assists and VERY LITTLE IF NO TRIPLE DOUBLES AT ALL (which to me is a true measure is someone really playing Ball out there if they are doing everything)
Clutch is more than scoring the basket and making a FT....the media has brain-washed everyone, and laker fans (kome lovers) have drank the Kool-Aid the most.
