Melo? Well they have to offer him the max which will be $30+ million more than any other team. He is not Dwight Howard. He does not hate the Knicks and doesn't have to deal with Kobe. He is the Knicks Kobe.
But deep down, I'll bet Phil wishes he could trade him. He'd get a huge haul for him and the Knicks need upgrades everywhere.
But the trading deadline is long gone so I believe, now that Phil is here, the Knicks hand will be forced and he'll remain a knick.
