It's gonna be a great game tonight, fellas.  I have to roll with those silent assassins out of San Antonio.  Small play on the ever decreasing ML for me (knowing I should just take the points, maybe I'll swallow some pride and that's what I'll do.)

Enjoy the game and check out the Dodgers tonight.  They win tonight and if they don't, well, it'll be a long time before I ask ya to check out another game.

MrBator--Appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts. Frequent insight mixed with a lot of guts. That said, it seems you're going to hate rooting for your own series bet despite the fact you are a significant ( if not prohibitive ) favorite. That has to suck.

My beautiful 60-yr old brother (who never bets (( and when he does, he is 10%)) ) just decided, with some laughter, to play the Spurs.

He is behind 2260, which would be similar to 15 K for me.....bless his heart!  I love him, but that is a big Heat indicator....or, he is due.....and that is the worst word in gambling.

    gl all....esp. to my brother!

This Game 7 betting activity is much like the betting you'd see on a Super Bowl.  Countless numbers of people who normally never wager are looking at two teams who as far as they're concerned are evenly matched, and thus they're taking the points and the plus moneyline.  Your brother sounds like he might be one of them.

I'm playing the under.  And I'll hate watching both teams run and gun and Pop insists that his team keep pushing the pace.  I would love to see a halftime score of 42-45 SA.

But, the $60,000 question, is he gonna cash?

Baiter------are you still deciding to lay off; or , go for it.

I think that I will try to make a deal.......if that fails....cut it in half.

If I get the deal I want, I am considering a little Spurs action........that is a total flip from how I felt right after game 6.

I just threw five dimes on the last +230 in town. Now I'm risking 17.9 units on the Heat instead of 29.4.

I did that at LVH, where I also bet a dime on each on these...

    Duncan under 29.5 points & rebounds +115

    Leonard under 22 points & rebounds +105

    Ginobili under 12.5 points -110

    Bosh under 22 points & rebounds +105

    Don't understand that.

You hedged off of the heat with the spurs ML, now you're back on some of the heat with these Spurs under props. I know in a low scoring game both can hit but unlikely.

Unless you think Danny Green and Parker will do the lion's share of the scoring.

The supervisor will always appreciate this maneuver, because it saves them from unwanted paperwork, too.  They are not allowed to suggest this idea to customers, though, because that is considered aiding customers in avoiding the reporting of a cash transaction in excess of $10,000.  But trust me, they wish everyone knew about it.

What I normally do is hold onto winning tickets until it is time to bet at that book again, and then simply place a new bet using my winning ticket.  For example, if I present that same $14,000 winning ticket and place a $5,500 wager, then they owe me $8,500 in change.  Presto, no tax form!  I do that all the time and have never filled out the tax form.  I don't even know what it looks like.

The 1st time I cashed a number of tickets totally over 10K, the book manager advised me to cash some tickets now and get back in line and cash the remaining tickets.

    gl all....esp. to my brother!

If the Spurs win, and your brother wins his wager, many more angles less that 10% chance of winning will have come through.

If Miami wins, and your brother loses his wager, many more angles less that 105 chance of winning will have come through.

There is an argument that perhaps your brothers wager should be juiced -130.

I can just see Bator who was on the verge of financial ruin and probably lost over 10 pounds in the last game cringing at losing his Series Bet now thinking he made the right bet and quietly saying "Yesssssss" to himself.

Bator maybe you could call yourself MR COOL although I know you and still relying on Leroy James to get you over the line lol amidst your pretense
