they have Wade, and Bosh Cleveland had no where close to that on there team, geezez i mean Bosh, and Wade started on the olympic team that won the gold
But Wade cannot do the responsibilities of a center (neither did ilgauskas)...
Bosh could do the job of a center if he has some one else doing a the job of a power forward...
I think if Ilgauskas plays VERY limited minutes and not crucial minutes, then heat could win it, especially with Haslem who is solid in filling in the duties of defense, and being an active rebounder...
but if Ilgauskas is a starter or even worse a finisher, then Heat are extremely vulnerable against the better teams in the league...

Just as I predicted.... Ilgauskas is not only a bad fit, but he took up a roster spot for a possibly younger, more athletic big man that is willing to rebound and finish at the basket...

I think they paid him the min so it's not like anyone else they could have gotten for the min would have done anything anyway.
It was a terrible career move for him though, wasted a year of his life and sacrificed millions

Not only that, spent most the season injured or on the bench being useless.
Yes they would have been better developing a young player with size/length from the d-league who could contribute 6 fouls and 3 rebounds in 10 minutes like mahinmi did for DAL...

With all due respect sir you are way OFF! First of all Ilgauskas didn't even play a minute in the Finals where Heat lost. Ever think if he was in the game for 15-20 minutes, the outcome would have been diferent. He is 7'3 afterall and was an all all-star once with Cleveland. As for a 1M dollar player he is the best deal ever. The fact is there is no cap space for a good center, non whatsoever. Even top rookies go for 4M/year and misakes they might make being devoloped can easily cost the series.
Your thread makes no sense. You are blaming a back up center for a Heat loss. Get a life dude. He didn't even play the Finals. Ilgauskas is the steal of steals at 1M a year....
