They did have a monster game the night before... but dang they did not cover as i had the suns+7.5

That's a good idea.  Especially, for a team that runs like Phoenix.  I watched the game.  Phoenix was outplayed and out matched.  They were down dd by half.  So, with that as a fade on the second half, I played LAL and it was easy money.

That's why I like playing 1Q/3Q.  I've had terrible luck on NBA games in the past and would not even play it except for this system. 

On last night's games, I was up by a little.  When Miami lost 1Q, I only put 1.5 units on 3Q.  Then I increased my bet on Lakers 1Q to help cover the 2.5 units lost on Miami.  Catching LAL on the 3Q put me over. 

So, a martingale will definitely work.  It'll be more successful if losses are spread out over several games.

FRIDAY 11/13 1Q PLAYS

New York -1/2
-New York has covered 100% (so far) at home either in 1Q or 3Q.  They should win the 1Q against an up and down GSW.  If not, NY is in the 3Q if they lose the 1Q.

Orlando -5
-Orlando has covered against the numbers every time except when playing CLE.  They should bounce back from that terrible loss and take it out on a pathetic NJ team.

Dallas-3 1/2
-This is more a play against Minnesota than a play for Dallas.  Minn has lost 2 of the last 4 games in both 1Q & 3Q  at home against the numbers.  Dallas has only lost once on the road but as away dogs.

Portland -1
-Portland has only lost once as an away fave.  Plus, NO is in disarray with the firing of their head coach.  I feel they will lose a lot of games this year and not over achieve as they had in previous years.

Houston -1 1/2
-Houston has been against the numbers.  Sac has only lost once (beginning of the season) at home.  But I feel Houston is the better team.

LAL +1
-LAL has not lost once against the numbers on the road.  They are on fire and will continue to win.  On the other hand, Den has not lost once against the numbers at home.  I like LAL getting points.

The other games are too close to call.  If anyone would like stats on the other games let me know.  I gotta go to work, otherwise I would do the write up for all the games.

lost with the heat last night  and dummy me stayed off the lakers as I had a bad night,,scared off with suns playing so well,,,,lost 1st half ,,miami...oh well

try your pic;s tonight but have to bet only full game...books don't carry Q  bets here....only on line off shore....

It's easier to do write ups because I have all the back test info on hand.  Also, do you do martingales on a regular basis?  If so, do you spread losses over several games or do you chase until you win or stop after 4 or so games?  If you spread losses do you have a schedule of bets?  Can you post them if you do?  Thanks... and by the way, I'll take care of the 2nd round

sorry you didn't have a play on LAL.  Just remember, if you're gonna play the quarter lines, you gotta play small so you can martingale.  This should guarantee a winning season.  Once this system gets going, there shouldn't be any problems upping your bets.

Stoned, Are you on NJ or is Orlando/NJ a no play for you?

Hard... I just read the past 11 pages of threads on this thing and it sounds like you have a pretty good system going.

So well that I chose to go with Knicks, Rockets, Blazers and (My Own) Toronto. I'm ready to chase in the 3rd if needed, but planning on just hitting all in their first quarters! 

Don't usually post on here, but I think you know what's going on. Great system and lets keep it up tonight!

Thanks for posting your thoughts.  The system is still being tweaked as each days games are in the books.  I think I have enough data to make good enough picks.   The back test from last year (Oct- Dec 08) produced only 3 days with a losing record.  So the chances of losing is still there.  Just gotta be smart about the chase.

I wouldn't pound any team.  You never know what will happen in the NBA.  I would suggest playing them because the trend shows they'll come back in the 3rd Quarter.

 I'll post when I think someone should be pounded in the 1Q or 3Q

The problem with Boston is they do most of their scoring in the 2nd and 4th quarter.  They've lost 2 games where they didn't cover 1Q/3Q.  One with NO where they were favored by 11 and the other with Phoenix as 10 1/2 points faves.  I would pick them at home with a lesser team, but Atlanta has a winning record.

No worries.  Believe me I was tempted to pick them on the 3Q at -3, but looking at their previous performances made me nervous.  That's why they were a no play for me.  Atlanta is also streaky, so I figure there are a lot of games that have better value.
