Double 'revenge' here. The last game was a couple of days ago in Philadelphia, a game where the Knicks were it total control until they fell apart in the 4th quarter. Well I expect them to 'avenge' that loss, and the one earlier in the season, on this Super Bowl Sunday. New York is 3-1 at home in the last 4 games while Sixers are 2-5 in the last 7 on the road. As good as Philly's D is at home (93 ppg), they allow 100 ppg on the road this season. New York is 16-11 ATS in 'revenge' scenarios this season and I full expect them to take care of business in this one.

With all due respect... as I love your write-ups and believe you are one of the top cappers here on Covers.... but the Knicks were far from in "total control" up until the 4th.... The Sixers were leading after the first by 14points. The Knicks came back in the 2ndQ, took a solid lead after 3, only to lose in a nail-biter at the end.
Nevertheless, hopefully the Knicks will revenge those losses and take down my home-town Sixers tomorrow afternoon

When I first noticed that the these 2 teams had games b2b with one another I immediately thought to myself that they split the games with both home teams winning. I teased PHI in the first game and hit that, I was so glad that I did not take them ATS.
I think that NY wins tomorrow but looking at the first 2 match ups it seems like PHI has their number. Also, something is just not right with NY, they are off.
I will prob take them in a tease. GL though.
I noticed that you have been off lately too. Going 1-3 in your last 4. Go get em tomorrow.

Do you think the recent trade talks will effect the knicks like it did with the nuggets? Randolph and curry won't have an effect cuz they aren't playing but how about Chandler? Maybe the trade talks were why he had a shitty game last time out with only 3 pts 2 rebounds, and Chandler was also out a few days ago when they played, is Chandler good enough to make a difference in both outcomes? Just wondering what your opinion might be, not trying to be a jerkoff

Yes, I meant to say 'in total control at the start of the 4th quarter'. Sorry...was trying to get this one out quickly..good luck tomorrow buddy

How come everyone is always saying "with all due respect", or "just wondering what your opinion is, not trying to be negative", etc.? No need for that at all. I welcome all viewpoints and opinions. I love 'em. Helps me become a better capper and helps evaluate games in ways I haven't considered.
Everyone on covers seems to be too afraid to voice their opinions or to disagree with someone. Kind of interesting... I don't take things personally and I completely understand that there are tons of different angles, ways to evaluate a game, and handicapping styles. No need to 'walk around on eggshells' if you want to disagree with my plays(s) or bring up other EXCELLENT factors/points/etc. Just wanted to throw this out there. Seems way too many people are worried about hurting others' feelings or something, instead of freely discussing games/matchups/opinions/etc. When I put up a play I actually enjoy reading opposing viewpoints and it makes all of us better handicappers in the long-run.
Now to your point -- it's a very good one. How will the trade talks affect Knicks players? When the Nets were involved, it seemed to effect some of their players. Hard to tell in this situation. Each player/person is different. Is Chandler playing poorly because his name is brought up in the trade rumors? Maybe, but hard to verify. Trade or no-trade rumors, I think both teams will be looking to get this game over with, quickly so that they could all attend their respective super-bowl parties. The difference between the 2 is the fact that Knicks lost 2 in a row to the Sixers with one of them being a few days ago. Naturally, I would expect them to be just a little more motivated and hungrier to get this win on their home court. In addition, they will be the ones making adjustments here since they've lost twice to the Sixers already. I expect them to make the right ones. :)

Just out of respect. I notice a lot of people get really offended and are sensitive when anything is said that doesn't coincide with the OP's opinion. That, and who wants to piss off the golden boy..dio?
under for the win... i will be cheering for MONSTER D for both teams with no turnovers or huge kick returns tomorrow.
