What a shitload of crap this is...What opportunity? The opportunity to play basketball for a white (and now asian) fanbase? And yes, blacks are fans of the game but are not the main consumers of tickets, NBA league pass, jerseys, hats, team paraphernalia, luxury boxes, nor are they the main consumers the primary revenue generator...the advertisers products featured on every NBA game commercial break. Do black individuals buy the sneakers? Sure. AND YES they might even get killed for them. Why is that? An idiotic white person will snidely remark, "Killing each other for shoes! LOL!" Well guess what. In the inner city, those shoes are a sign of status which in turn attracts attention and females, in the same exact way a crooked ass scum wall street type buys a high end mercedes. But whites do NOT kill for each other for a car. Why? Well WE HAVE TOO MUCH TO LOSE. Almost all of us are employed, have some sort of living accommodations we pay for if we are over 21-25, a clean rap sheet and wake up every day to earn income to make all this work.
MANY BLACKS HAVE NONE OF THIS because white owned companies do not bother to target or invest or employ anyone in the ghettos and inner cities which have NO MONEY to begin with. So it's a vicious cycle -----> No money, No jobs, idleness begets crime and violence and a struggle for survival many whites will never even remotely experience. This inevitably leads to gun ownership which in necessary to protect oneself. Especially when authorities target the owners INSTEAD of the producers/providers of illegal firearms. Get the providers, Sergeant Dunkin' Donuts will be OUT OF A JOB.
That is why you need not donate to any foundations researching incurable diseases (AIDS, Cancer etc.). Cure the disease, everyone working there and all the money coming in DISAPPEARS like shit flushed down a toilet.
And when you make it to the NBA, sometimes right out of an inner city high school, everyone you know including your closest friends and family members will be right there to criticize you if you act 'civilized' under the white definition of 'civilized'. That means, putting on a suit, pulling up your pants (god forbid they sag), getting rid of the gun, having a certain hairstyle, ditching 'ebonics' (a white term for 'black' talk), and becoming a loyal and faithful solider to WHITE owners, WHITE GM's, WHITE sponsors and YES MAINLY WHITE COACHES (there are only 7 black coaches and some are biracial bringing the total of TRUE black coaches closer to 4 or 5 IN A 30 FUCKING TEAM LEAGUE!!! There were as many as 13!!! in 2002!!...here comes the onslaught of whites with the "If they coached well enough they would still have their job!!! So, the black player retains his identity...an identity formed and molded from the streets where there are drugs, crime, prostitutes, violence, bribery, grubbing, begging, stealing, fighting, poverty and countless other things i can't write since i didn't grow up there.
You don't just fucking ditch that persona!!! The persona THAT GOT YOU WHERE YOU ARE IN THE NBA MAKING MILLIONS! Yes, SURVIVING THE STREETS, persevering to master your craft and leaving the streets to the big time doesn't mean you leave your character in garbage can on the way out striving to look and act like David Stern and all his cronies because he pays your bills.
And that is where the guns come in. These people were robbed and mugged once or many times in their life. You don't go out and hire some bitch ass burly body-guard to stay by your side!!! You protect yourself. Do i carry or own a gun? No. But if i grew up where these players did, I sure as hell would, even with millions...as a matter of fact, even MORE SO with millions. And I promise you Lebron and Kobe have a few in there house as well. But they have so many fucking advisors watching their every move (except a blind eye is CLEARLY reserved for cheating on your spouse), they would never carry one in public because they are probably frisked the second they leave their house by Laker/Cav personnel. Not so for Arenas and the lowly Wizards.
