These athletes are paid quite well to play a game for a living. There are so many things that would have to come into play for 'fixes.' It's just an embarrassing cry that bettors use when they lose, and it makes the betting community look bad.
If I EVER thought something I loved doing, betting, were rigged/fixed--I would stop doing it immediately. If you really believe it is, then you should to. How would you enjoy betting on something you think the end result is pre-determined, ever? And "I'm just trying to be on the right side of the fix" is such a stupid line, hope you can give something better than that. I'm not taking low blows, not calling you an idiot--hope you'll give an honest response to me.
I have respect for anyone that will speak logically even if you're talking shit. Not saying you are. But to honestly answer your question about why I would ever enjoy betting on something I think the end result may be rigged or pre-determined? For The Money.
I don't know about you guys, and no disrespect to you, but I solely do this for the money. If I was to sit at home and cap sports all day without getting paid out, I would feel like I'm wasting my time, effort, and life away. Being it sports that I'm making money off of makes it all the better! Whether it's a rigged game or not, there's still going to be a clear winner. What I love about sports gambling is that you are in control of what you gamble, unlike a casino, or hold'em even. In sports gambling, it's a straight 50/50 chance from a gambling perspective, but as cappers we get to increase our chances from the control we have. There's always another game, another opportunity, and you control your hand and decide when to put your money down. You're not playing against anyone except yourself. You can sit for a week and when you see a great bet, go big and have a great chance of winning. That's what I love about sports betting, whether it's fixed or not.
As well as the fact that just cause it's rigged, doesn't mean you can't win. If you can figure out what team the game is rigged for to win, you can increase your chances of winning. Can't just complain about it, gotta capitalize and throw a big screw you at Vegas.
To be clear, I don't have all the answers. Obviously right?? But I try to figure shit out, unlike ignorant people who just like to stick with what society believes. Think for yourselves, quit blindly following the crowd, I promise you your perspective on life will get so much better.
Don't take none of this personally dwarfman, I'm probably referring to most of the people on this forum, that I've been in contact with so far at least.
If you saw this game and feel that the Lakers deserved to win, you're just lying to yourselves. Brooklyn completely shut down the Lakers offense in the 4th quarter which was completely unexpected IMO. This game was a great example of what I've been talking about, and the ironic part was that it was in my favor, but I still lost. It was all in the refs.
I said in my original post that the setting of this game was screaming for the Lakers to blow out the Nets. I exaggerated, but did believe that the Lakers would have played better in the 4th, Kobe missing 2 free throws, joke. Beside that, if you think about it from a strategical business standpoint, the NBA stands to profit much more to have the "Lakeshow" win at home with D'antoni's debut as head coach at home. This was also a prime time game where all eyes were on them. Yeah they didn't cover, but when did I ever say that games were fixed to specifically cover spreads??
