So you were ok with his demeanor and play the last 6 minutes because he played a great 1st quarter?  You clearly have not played sports...its 4 quarters...your toughness and heart shows at the end of games.  Look the Cavs would have lost game...but they did not go down fighting....and it all starts with LBJ..

Hey Lebron.....here is what I need says deeeezy: go score me 40, control the glass, get your team open shots and oh yeah.....go play defense when the other guys on the court absolutely suck. Lebron are you hearing me says deeeeezy? I want you to do it all. “Little effort”.....you are too funny with this. Again, I had Boston in both games here simply because of this. Dude what are you saying? sleep2 So because Lebron scores 40 he cannot play hard on defense? The excuses on this board made for Lebron are mindblogging. Yes he had a great first half on offense, which doesn't negate the fact that he can give greater effort on the defensive end. Guess what... Boston players get tired too, but yet they play hard every possession on defense. The argument can be made that playing defense every possession is more tiring, yet the Celtics do it all game. Enough with the excuses, there are two ends of the court in hoops.

It’s hard for you to comprehend my point huh? It really is for you. The difference between Boston and Cleveland is that they play TEAM DEFENSE. Do you get that? You want lebron to defend the pick and roll, guard his man and do it all on defense by himself? Is Korver a good defender? How about JR? How about Hill? Love? All of these guys got their a$$es handed to them yet you want to say I’m making excuses? You really don’t know basketball huh? It’s clear you don’t. I’m not making any excuses for him. To put up those numbers offensively takes fuel. Yet you want him to be lebron on the offensive dude of the ball doing it ALL BY HIMSELF and then you want him to play hands to ground defense for 4 quarters? Are you nuts? You keep deviating from the point here. If you want him to focus on defense he needs the 4 others to be invested as well yet as you saw, Rozier was let loose on Hill, Brown backed down Korver at will, manbun outboarded Thompson on the offensive glass and where was JR and alive tonite defensively? You wanna go on Lebron because he’s Lebron yet in year 15 without missing a game, putting up the numbers he is putting up, name me a guy with more responsibility than him. Go ahead. You want it all and I get that but it’s not realistic with this Cavs TEAM. It’s obvious we re on two different levels when it comes to taking basketball because this isn’t hard to take in. You say enough with the excuses....I say show me a guy in this league that can put up those numbers and play the defense you want all game. Better yet, show me a guy with a sh@t team defense that can dictate half court defense and make their presence felt by themselves all while putting up craxy numbers on offense where it’s neeeed most. That player doesn’t exist. It’s odiotic that I’m even spending time here doing this......

His team was favored at home and couldn't get it done. Or do you not hate harden as much so you don't need to b1tch about him?

Demeanor? Really? You say he quit on his team? What about his team? Did they even show up in the second half?

I clearly have not played sports? Division 1 ball, I coach football and basketball at the high school level, played high school hockey..... should I keep going? You sound uneducated bud. All of these are TEAM SPORTS yet you want to point the finger at a guy who showed up tonite. I get it you hate him but at some point you need to be realistic about this series. It starts with Lebron and it ends with Lebron....you are 100% correct but I ask you this question: Who do you think will take the blame for this loss tonite? Who do think will put it on their shoulder going forward? The supporting cast? Tyron Lue in his red Cavs sweatshirt in the postgame interview, the dumb GM and owner who pay the luxury tax for Medicare players? Nope. It will b the guy who played all 82 games this year, it will be the guy averaging 38-40 minutes a game, the guy averaging a triple double and the guy who won two games by himself at the buzzer. Yeah he’s a bad guy. He quits on his team. He doesn’t do enough for the inner city kids, the businesses and the league. You hear him complain at all this year about the JV team he plays with? Nope. It’s too funny hearing this nonsense and I’m not even a huge fan of his. There will never be another MJ but to denounce what lebron has done tyevkart 4 years especially in the playoffs? Pure numbness between the ears.

this is exactly why people dont think he belongs in kobe/mj category. his weak mentality seperates him from mj/kobe. people look at scores and see his trouble double and think he was great. but watching the game tells a diff story. when his confidence is high he’s unstopable. but when shhit gets real he gets scare and weak. u kno whats the most impressive thing about lebron? he never got any serious injury thru out his career considering all the games he played and all those mins.

You are right I do not get your point, because you are struggling to provide one. Does individual defensive effort not contribute to team defense? I'd say it does. Maybe the Cavs team defense isn't great because the effort, including from Lebron is not there on that end of the court? To answer your question yes JR was considered a good defender, especially in finals series against the Warriors. Some were calling him the best perimeter defender on the team. Tristan is also a good defender, and George Hill is considered a good PG defender if you have followed his career. Team defense requires effort, which the Celtics provide is all I am saying. As for naming a guy with more responsibility than Lebron James why is there a need? Didn't he kind of do that to himself by running Kyrie out of town? Or needing the ball to be in his hands as the Point Forward 90% of the time. Even when Kyrie was there Lebron did not give superior effort on the defensive end. Lebron is a great player no doubt, but to suggest that he shouldn't give effort on defense in the ECF is absurd. It's funny guys on the Celtics like Baynes, Tatum, and Monroe are not considered elite defenders but were all out there giving great effort tonight on D individually and as a team. That is what I am saying. There are plenty of elite two way defenders in this league that give great effort on both ends Kawhi, KD, and Klay are just a few to come to mind.

What was the Cavs series price before the series started? Please tell me the Cavs were not heavy favorites. So Vegas thought the Cavs sucked too, but favored them heavily? confused Yeah the guy has no help right? All it boils down to is that there are many Lebron apologists and slurpers in this forum regardless of the results of games. Has nothing to do with not liking him. He is a great player, but the excuses are ridiculous. No I did not post anything about Harden last night because the Rockets are not expected to beat the Warriors, and were not heavy favorites in the series an_light. And if you watched the game Harden's numbers are inflated because Rockets play iso ball, which will not beat the Warriors.

How would you describe these first two games then? He had plenty of help but just couldn't get it done? You'd be lying to yourself. All it boils down to is you don't like the guy and him losing gives you something to blab about. Did you post about Harden not doing enough last night? His team was favored at home and couldn't get it done. Or do you not hate harden as much so you don't need to b1tch about him?

The more you talk, the more you make my point for me chief. Kawhi, KD, Klay.....are they on good defensive teams? Good coaches there? If you really think KD and Klay are better defenders than Lebron you are high bro. And stupid to the point where I can’t help you. This is the same lebron who goes down the court in the finals makes a layup and then beats iggys  sh@t against the glass in a  clinching game to win the trophy? This is the same lebron who beat Okadipos sh@ t against the glass and then hit the game winner the next play. Kawhi is a great defender but what type of system is he in? Was Duncan there? How about his supporting cast when he decided to sit out a full season because his feelings were hurt. Yeah you wanna call out Leveon for quitting tonite but then you bring up kawhi, the biggest shooter in the nba. You already lost this argument but that right there seals it!

And you think Hill and JR are good defenders in 2018? Jesus H! Really? Rozier owns Hill and JR is as high on the court as you are in here writing this jibberosh. And then you speak about Boston’s supporting cast not being good? Bro.....they have a system where EVERYONE does their job. That system has allowed the next man up to come in and ball.  It’s kind of like the patriots every year where every guy does their job and abracadabra, they are in the AFC championship and super bowl almost every year. Are they the most talented? Boston or New England? Nope. They are the best coached and they are the most disciplined. That’s what defense is and it takes a team to have disciplined defense. KD and Klay!!!! Haaaaa! They are good but they also have help with Draymon and they don’t have the pressure on offense to produce the way lebron does considering Klay, dray, curry and KD play together. It’s a lot easier to be able to take possessions off offensively which allows more fuel in the tank on the defensive side of the ball. You knew that though....

You keep shooting your self in the foot. What was the series price in the Cavs/raptors series before game 1? Remember who was favored chief? Cavs could be bought at +190 and the raptors were aground -220 or so....you knew that though. Was Vegas dumb there? If you do not acknowledge Klay and KD are better overall defensively than Lebron it's obvious you do not watch the NBA or are simply incredibly biased. Lebron has not been a good on ball defender for at least the last 5 years. But I know Lebron's chase down blocks are sick though right? Get a clue dude. No one considers Lebron an elite defender anymore. And to answer your questions? Why are Klay and KD on good defensive teams? Because their players including, the best ones actually give effort on defense. Just stop dude. And I was never one of the ones claiming Lebron quit tonight. I simply said his defense was poor, which is obvious. And I was also on the Celtics the first two games.

Dude keep up. I am not talking about the series price for the Cavs/Raptors series. I am talking about the series price for the current series Cavs-Celtics. The Cavs were favored. I am not shooting myself in the foot because I am talking about the current series. So the Cavs were only favored because they beat a completely different Celtics team from last year that returned 4 players? Dude what are you even saying? The Cavs and Celtics teams are completely different than last year, so that is not why the Cavs were favored this year. Good try though.

the cavs were favored because of what happened to toronto. 1-5 +bench,  boston clearly has a better team. why my bet tonight was cavs 1st qtr. i still think it could very well go 7 and lebron in a game 7 is 5-2, so yeah. better win 1 in cle.

Defensive win shares? Watch the games, listen to former NBA hall of famers, and look at all defensive teams, Klay and KD are better overall defenders than Lebron currently.

Yeah I mean you covers Lebron lovers know more about the game than NBA hall of famers.peace_5 Tell me, do win shares take into account that Lebron doesn't even guard the opposing teams best player on most nights? And just so you know Lebron hasn't even made a 2nd team defense since 2014 (4 years ago). Klay has a good chance of making one of these teams this year, as does KD. Lebron does not.

kd has no chance as a forward. paul george is a dpoy candidates. then you got guys like draymond and covington who leads all sf's in drpm. durant is 65th, btw. pj tucker, anthony davis, horford.

Coach and strategy for the celtics.  Unless at least 2 guys steps up outside of LBJ, series over.  I can see the cavs winning both games at home but they shouldnt be complacent about it.  With the way boston is playing right now and with their confidence up in the air, it will be difficult to defeat them.

We will see. Klay definitely has a chance as a forward to make All-Defensive Team, especially with Kawhi being out. I just find it funny that everyone claims Lebron plays D, yet the Cavs didn't even let him guard KD in the Finals. They either put 37-year old Richard Jefferson or JR on KD for the majority of games. When Lebron did get switched onto him KD lit him up. He used to be a phenomenal defender 5 years ago. Now offensive players get to the paint at will on him.
