Deal NO good been voted against by owners

first yes I am not a laker fan....second no one on this Earth is free from bias....third let me ask you something....would you take the lakers with chris paul on the roster and possibly Dwight fricken Howard or the Hornets mish-mash of Scola, Martin, Dragic, and Odom. Who's getting this guys the ball and with no David West again? Ya I don't think you get it. There's nothing fair about what the Lakers have always gotten away with.

Chris Paul is a joke too in my opinion. No star players in the NBA colluded to this level in the history of this league and isn't "collusion" illegal? Yet it happens all the time and it happened at Carmelo Anthony's wedding. No one was hiding anything with regards to Paul's desire to play with Anthony. But they get in front of cameras and reporters and act like they don't even know what is going on. Give me a break.

Oh yea by the way Dell Demps is from Long Beach. Just saying there sean. Wake up to reality unless you are a Laker lover

thats a stupid question. not all teams are equal and obviously the lakers are better then the hornets, but that means they shouldnt be allowed to trade with each other?

 and how is that a bad trade, especially when there going to lose him for absolutely nothing now. your underestimating these players. kmart is one dimensional but is still a 20+ points scorer. scola is one of the most under rated players in the league, near double double guy that can play on both sides of the court. and then theres dragic that everyone was saying is one the next good starters in the league, no hes not chris paul but he can hold his own on the court. plus odom and a draft pick. your acting like they were getting kibbles and bits for cp3 when thats just not the case 

I pretty much agree with you here.,,,    I think Stern kneejerked here and in his attempt to come off as a "just and fair overlord" and always looking out for the little guy,,,,  he actually stuck a knife in New Orleans back.    

Im a bit confused, my understanding of the veto was not because the trade not being fair, but because they didn't want to take Paul off a team that they are hoping to sell? Which basically means Paul can't be traded at all this year unless they are getting a superstar in return, which isn't gonna happen. So what Stern is saying, it's better to force Paul to stay here and then leave as a free agent and NO will get nothing? Because outside of that, if they allow Paul to be traded anywhere else , how will they ever justify it?

Stern had NO business mingling with the trade.  All parties involved were happy with the deal, so he needed to keep his nose out of it.

And New Orleans would have gotten all they could in return for a disgruntled player.  And FWIW, when Paul got injured in the past, Collison and West made a nice combo at the time.  I think West is almost as valuable to that organization as Paul is.

I think the owners are looking at, "Would you trade paul for odom and gasol straight up ? NO ! so then if the lakers want paul they need to give up more.

And if I was the owner of N.O. I would not like what I got. They were role players mostly on Houston and the 1st rounder is a middle risky pic. for a top 7 player ? I want Fisher, Odom, Gasol, and a first rounders for my Little Pauly...... Then i will trade Gasol to Houston for two of those role players and a first (miidle again, risky). I think stern is looking at it from a NO owners point of view and they can do better. But keeping him longer than another week is a MAJOR LOSS !
