Because the reality is, the average gambler can't survive a vig (very tough) AND a tout commission (near impossible). Why lend your talents to that industry? I'm taking mine....to South Beach...jk.

Scal, what's your confidence level with this one? The Pistons are saying the same crap they said before playing Philly. This is embarrassing, we gotta give more effort, yada, yada... BTW, I had no idea Brandon Jennings got tossed in the 1st quarter of the Philly game (wow). Anyway, wonderful stuff but having been to hell and back this weekend (thanks to the Pistons) I'm wondering if I can go there again. When the line came out at 5.5 I thought about pounding them, but only for a second because the feeling of disgust was so overwhelming that I thought I would never be able to look at myself ever again if I bet on this team.

I think you are missing Scal's point. He acknowledges that they don't care and argues why they will care for this one night.

They got blow out by Philly though. They haven't cared for the entire season and it's just hard for me to see them all of sudden giving a dam with the lottery around the corner and everyone knowing this season has been a complete failure and that no amount of wins going forward is gonna change that. I wouldn't pick a side between these two teams if someone paid me to just way to many angles.

.you got me sold on the pistons to win but im still quivering like a scared little girl on the spread
....would you hold it against me if i bought a couple points??...2 possessions has me a lot more at ease than 3,even as horrible as milwaukee is.in the unlikely event it is a close encounter it gives you a nice buffer with free throws able to seal it.

This is my first post, and I had to endure the sign up process to respond to your excellent write up of the Piston game. Even with all the hyperbole I couldn't agree more, and as a matter of fact I will go so far as to include my number for the game: Detroit -8.5. That number includes giving the Bucks -1.5 for both the 12/4 home loss to Detroit and the 67 pts they scored in the home blowout to Miami. And I still have the Pistons an 8.5 pt favorite. Good luck and I have enjoyed reading your analyses, especially when my line disagrees as I have something to argue against.
