the NBA is impossible to officiate? gimme a fucking break! there are literally a million people on this planet who would NEVER miss that double-dribble call... clearly there are too many people on covers who do not realize how fundamentally basic of a play that was... the ball moved from his left to his right hand mid-dribble... THAT IS TEXTBOOK DOUBLE-DRIBBLE... literally the most basic basketball violation there is!

i hear what you're saying... don't know how long you've been watching the NBA intensely... i have for about 30 years... and about 10 years ago i was thinking the same thing as you... maybe the game has just passed him by...
but 10 years later, i know that's all bullshit... the game has passed by all of the top refs in the game... Crawford and Bavetta are just the most glaring examples...
think about it... they were WAY unqualified to be doing this TEN YEARS AGO...
there is only one explanation for why either of them are still there... they are company men, like people have said many times... there is simply no other way you can explain them still having a job...
it would be one thing if this is the first we are seeing of this... but this is literally 10 years OVERDUE...

yes... Crawford is incompetent as an NBA official... but no, this is not just an issue of the game passing him by... he is being kept around despite his incompetence in a multi-billion dollar industry...
