Bulls/Celtics Game 3 Line

 

 

Why not?  The Celtics seem to be hanging their heads these days because of the cruel reality that they won't be able to mount a proper title defense without Garnett, while the Bulls are playing with no pressure and a nothing-to-lose attitude.  And now with two extremely competitive efforts in Boston, they're heading home with a ton of confidence.  Right now it feels like Game 3 will be a big win for the Chicago Bulls.

Bator, so what do you think the line will be and then what you think it should be?  

Celtics will not be laying -2.5.  That's just crazy talk.  Assuming no surprising injury stuff, it will be somewhere between Chi -1 to -2.

 

 

My prediction earlier in this thread was Chicago -3.5, but I thought it should be -5.5.  Obviously my opinions reflect both a dim outlook for what's left of "the champs" and also my gratitude to the Bulls for getting the money in Games 1 & 2.  If the line turns out to be Chicago -1.5, I'll be wary of my own enthusiasm for betting on Chicago because choosing sides isn't supposed to feel so easy.

Hey Depeche they heard you were the Nostradomous and followed this thread      I honestly feel if the Bulls play the way they did in Boston we will win both games at home!! I was listening to ESPN radio last night and Jason Smith said that the Bulls will win this series.  LETS GO BULLS!!!!     

The only thing that bothers me is Boston is getting way too many offensive boards and loose balls, and without that they wouldn't even have been close in Game 2, but you gotta figure those are the sorts of things that tend to go to the home team and if that evens out then the Bulls should be in real good shape.

As for being at home, aside from the final game, which may have been a tank job, the Bulls had won 14 of their 15 home games since the Salmons/Miller trade with the only loss to the Lakers in a game they had been leading late.  This included wins over 8 playoff teams -- Denver, Orlando, Houston, New Orleans, Boston, Detroit, Miami, Philly.

It's real hard not to like Chicago against a basically pk line.

Really?  I think just the opposite.  Boston needs to grind it out, esp on the road.  I don't think they want to get into a running contest with Chicago given their age, increasing lack of depth, Rondo's ankle, etc etc.  If I'm Boston I try to grind these games to a halt.  If I'm Chicago I want to fly up and down the court, esp at home.  Boston's bigs have the size for the half-court grind, but running up and down I'll take Thomas and Noah for their athleticism.  I don't think you want Perkins and Big Baby chasing them up and down the court, esp when those guys will need to log extra minutes with Powe out.

And from watching the Bulls, I can tell you that they run, or try to, A LOT more at home.  That is what they do.  If I'm Boston I want to stop that at all costs.  If the game is up and down fast and furious Boston has virtually no chance to win in Chicago because not only will it lead to easy points for Rose, Thomas, Noah, etc. it will also give open looks to Gordon and Salmons, who shoots better at home.

Boston needs half court, grind it out, muscle inside, frustrate Chicago who wants to run.

im pounding the C's.....the first 2 games were a surprice for Boston, now they will show their true power...Paul Pierce will get 40 in game 3 or 4...C's get 1 from Chicago and eventually win the series 4-2.

Dont be fooled by Chicago, no way Gordon knocks down those shots again...pound the Celtics and win some 

So it'll be someone else.  Salmons is due for a big one.  Rose can go off again.  Hinrich can even score at times.  Tyrus has been shooting well.  We saw Miller can fill it up.  Bulls have plenty of other weapons.

    I think the Bulls will close out the Celtic at home,Boston it's ok last year,but not this year..
