BOS VS ORL

Alright boys one write-up before i take off to the game to watch this. Mother inlaw got me tix for tonight and this may be one of the best games i will see in person. I have been to over 100 NBA games and probably at a half dozen arenas but mainly most of them being at Pacers Game but everytime i have gone home team has won close 75% of the time so thats a good factor to have on our side haha!

 

Anyways i have been reading here and there from my phone from last night and at times during the day and all i keep seeing is how BOS is returning to form and playing with a chip on there shoulder. THATS A BUNCH OF BS. They have played some bad teams in 8 of there last 10. The other to being HOU and CLE which are 2 top contenders IMO but please stop referring to returning to form when the teams they have beat up on there last 6 that they should. You guys dont think ORL has a chip on there shoulder for the beating they took in BOS??? ORL is probably the hottest team in the league and are playing determined to prove something this year and should carry over tonight. They are shouwing us they belong at the top but most people keep shooting them down. The only thing i see hurting them is the Road trip they were on along with the 5 days rest. With that being said i see ORL coming out sluggish in this one and turning it on in the second half with the benifit BOS has played there 4th game in 6 days and should wear down in the 2nd half against a far superior team out to prove they can overtake the champs. BOS bench is not the same as last year IMO and this will be a big downfall against teams like ORL, LAL, CLE, HOU, DEN all of the some of the best teams that have beat BOS this year. BOS schedule is so damn soft thats why there record looks alot better than it appears. Now i will say if ORL does come out hot BOS is in for a long long night. Please surprise me ORL! Also does the line not concern anyone being at -5 and steadily 75% backing BOS on the spread and 70% backing BOS on the ML?? I find that very alarming but they are the defending champs and people cont. to show know respect to ORL. There are also stong trends that point to the fav and the home team. Def. like those factors. Expect payback tonight and Nelson to play a key role tonight who we did not see in the last outing. Also we have a much better JJ Redick playing this time around along with the fact Dwight will have a much better offensive performance this time. If Rashard gets stuck carrying the load then BOS covers if not wins. Anyways i have bet against BOS two times already this year all for a dime LAL being the first followed by CLE lets make it a 3rd win live with ORL. I caught it early at 4.5 and bought the hook at -4. Only way i see BOS taking my money is they will have to rely heavily on there sorry ass bench who has gotten beat up on by the top tier teams! BOL all!

I know the Celtics bench doesn't scare anyone and many people think it's pretty weak.  It could be better I agree but Orlando's bench isn't that great either.  Eddie House hit 7 threes off the bench last night for the Celts.  Im not saying that will happen again but I do think this Celtics team is back.  Yeah, they have beaten up on weak opponents but they did dominate Phoenix,and Miami who are decent teams. They also swept home and homes with NJ and Tor.  Kendrick Perkins is back and is strong enough to guard Dwight Howard one on one.  If you don't double team Howard the three point shots won't be there.  Im sure there will be times when they double Howard but the celtics play great rotational defense.  If the threes aren't falling it will be very difficult for Orlando to win.  Is Turkoglu gonna guard Pierce?  Pierce should be able to get any shot he wants on him.  After losing to LA and getting embarrassed by Cle I thrink this team will be ready to play.  People are now calling them the third best team in the east and they are the ones with the chip on their shoulder.I think they get the SU win here.  I love reading your posts Bird and you have helped me alot but Im going against you tonight.

Another reason to take Boston is that Orlando is playing the first home game after a west coast road trip.  This is a situation where  I love playing against the home team.

Bird, have a great time at the game.  Don't drink too many of those Miller Lites before the game because, this is going to be a dandy.

great writeup bird as u almost convinced me to back the magic, but like others have said, this is a statement game for boston and i think a hot house off the bench will be the difference.  boston ml at +175 was just too tempting for a little action though my large bet is w/ the +5.
