Coming into the series folks were expecting to see LBJ on dirk.....somebody on the heat made the right call to put LBJ (All Defensive player) on the jet.
Now you are correct that he did not contest all of Terry's shots.....but when he is on him....the jet struggles just as much as d rose struggled when LBJ was on him.
So far, this has been a great move by the heat coaching staff to place LBJ on the Jet.
His defense is fantastic, world class..no doubt about it. But playing on a team with Wade and Bosh is going to take away from his legacy. Especially if he isn't the one making...no..taking the big shots.

bottom line is when the game was on the line in the last 5 minutes (when they were trading baskets and it was going back and forth) Lebron was just sitting on the side watching wade direct traffic.......you could just tell he wanted no part of trying to win the game on offense.......and the times he did get the ball , he either traveled or double dribbled.......he looked very out of sorts.....thats all im sayin........guys like kobe and jordan LIVED for those moments....NBA finals....tight game.....4th quarter.....doesnt seem like bron really wants the ball......he seems content watching wade win or lose the game........

The announcer said Wade got heated w/ James cause he should have kept the ball longer. Play was at 3 min or so...
Wade passed ball to James, standing 7-8 ft outside 3-pt line no defender within 5 ft of him, didn't take one dribble, passed rt away to Chalmers on left side 3-pt line, possession ended 5-6 secs after that when Bosh put up contested shot.
Yes, MJ passed it off to other guys with game on-line, but that's the exception, not the rule... When MJ made the pass, it was after taking it the hole, drawing the double-team then make the pass.
I don't understand why Spoelstra doesn't draw up play for LBJ to post up on any game-line situation, if Marion covers one-on-one, go to the basket and put pressure on him not to foul or if get double then make the pass to open guy.
Go back and watch G3 and see how hard it was for Wade to give up ball when double-teamed w/ game on the line!
There's no doubt in my mind James is just way more physically gifted than every players in NBA right now but he just doesn't have the to consistently be the MAN with game/season on the line. He showed flash of that against Bos last rd but need to that majority of the time. Not saying he won't ever be the MAN, but not now for sure.
It's hard to compare LBJ to MJ/Kobe when he's not even his own team clutch/go-to guy right now, now MATTERS MORE cause taking/making game-winning shot in the FINALS is what separate the greats from the legends? Robert Horry's career stats are ave at best but everybody knows him cause of those game-winning shots in play-offs/FINALS. As a Pistons fan, I will always remember Sheed as the guy who left Horry for double team in G6 Finals and you know how that turns out...

It would have been pretty stupid of James to try and take over a game that Wade was clearly dominating.
He has said he would be OK with that many times. In a sense, it's an admirable approach, but the chosen ones never have to take 2nd fiddle to anyone.
He also said it was about winning championships. In a sense, this kind of gives credence to some who said he could never be the "man" on a championship team. That may be true, but at least Lebron has been true to his word and acted accordingly.

it would have been dumb for him to try to take over a game wade was in control of. i mean why even think about shooting? wade was going off and lebron was doing the dirty work on the defensive end like he told the dumbass reporter after the game. if lebron is going off im sure wade would defer to him. if lebron had started shooting he d get blasted for that because he took it out of wade s hands, the poor fella cant win

I've never seen anyone get critized so much while averaging 20 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists through 3 games while playing stellar defense and his team is uo 2-1 in the NBA Finals. Looks like he can't win for losing.

Mavericks are double wade and lebron off the dribble at the end. The Mavericks are too old to do it with a full game so they do it in spurts when they need to make runs. Forcing lebron or wade to pass the ball. Just like how Heat are forcing Dirk to pass the ball.
That is the main reason why Bosh was so wide open. It's also the fact that Bosh has struggled mightily in game 1,2 and 3.
Bosh was open a few times in game 2 and so was haslem.

Wade has been MVP so far but it's more of Chris Bosh's fault that Lebron has been so heavily criticized. His Poor game 1,2 and 3 has been the main reason why the Mav's stay in this game
